Dol (and Diesel), you keep using marvin's 3pt % from last year as a baseline when that is obviously a skewed statistic. Marv shot 1-10 last year from 3, many of those attempts being longer attempts from half court or better at the end of quarters (except he should have been 2-11, he made one at the end of the 1st qtr of the home Miami game [part I] from beyond half-court that was overturned due to replay, but that's neither here nor there).
Marv showed in his first two years that if he wants to take that shot, he can hit at least 25% of his attempts. If he is working on that shot and is making it a point of emphasis for the coming year, we should look for at least >32% shooting. Otherwise, he shouldn't be taking that shot (we can't have TWO Smooves out their jacking up bricks) and should just stick to his 17 footer.
With his stroke he should be able to hit this mark easily.

That's a fair observation. That 10% number is just so bad that it's difficult to look past it and assume that if he shot more 3pt shots like he did his 1st two seasons he would probably be closer to 25%. I don't think it's impossible that he'll shoot 36% this year but I certainly won't expect it or be mad if he doesn't achieve it.
