So I like the feature where the Hawk icon is a different color if you have read a Forum/Thread than if it is unread. I use it all the time for glancing through Forums. My only frustration with it is I don't like to have to keep clicking into all the subforums to mark those as read. I don't particularly care to read the subforums, but they generate the main Forum's Hawk icon color to be that of the "unread" color. Is there a way to turn off that setting for the subforums? Or have just a check box on the main Forum's page to mark a subforum (or even Forum) as read instead of clicking into the subforum and then clicking "Mark as Read"?
I've been a lot busier now and so I don't have as much time to look around the Squawk. I like to target a few forums and see if anything really catches my eye, I'm just looking to save so time. So this post probably comes off more as an old man rant about trivial matters, but I figure there is an off-chance that someone else shares my same feelings about the "Mark as Read" feature.
Suggestion/Question about "Mark as Read"

Oh and another thing I noticed that I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this. The Squawk Supporters Forum is gone, but on the top bar (well actually below the banner) of the site it still shows up. There is [Home] [Forums] [Chat] [Donate] ... and if you hover over [Forums], Squawk Supporters shows up. When you click it, it takes you to a page that doesn't exist.

Meant to tell Dolfan about that today. Thanks.

Do you ever use the "View New Content" link near the top right of the page? I think it's excellent.
Once you have read all you want to read, just click "Mark all items as read."

Thanks for the reminder about changing the forum drop down menu to remove the Squawk Supporter link since that forum is no more.
Regarding the initial request I don't believe that it possible but I'll take a look through the admin and see if there is a setting I may have missed.
I have heard good things about the "View New Content" link, although I don't personally use it.

Just saw it and used it. Its great, I think it solves my issues that I had with the board. The new features of the board never cease to amaze me. As always, thanks for all the time and effort put into this board.

Just wanted to update this with something I just found (maybe others have seen this as well). A good way to mark everything on this site "as read" is if you scroll to the absolute bottom of any page on the site. The red bar gives you a bunch of options [back to top] [forum home] [delete my cookies] [Mark Board As Read]. I'm sure others have seen this, but for anyone who is oblivious to things like this (as I am) I just wanted to point it out.
