Maybe I'm just still bitter from last year's draft experience, but are we better off acquiring a low-tier NBA player for the bench with our 1st round pick as part of the deal?

There is simply no one among likely non-lottery selections that I'm enamored with in the 2011 draft. Not many among the likely lottery picks either.

This organization has proven unable thus far to develop young talent, so maybe a player with some NBA seasoning and tutelage already is a better option.

If we can get a player who can crack the 9 man rotation then heck yes !

We would definately need a player who is an upgrade over the league minimum guys on the roster ( Collins, Powell, Wilkens ) at the very least.

In the off season Bibby would have an expiring contract. Perhaps his expiring contract with our 1st could bring in a better upgrade.

If we keep the pick I want Nolan Smith at this time.
