You can't judge a draft before the players play a lick in the NBA. I remember the year we drafted Marvin, CP3 and Deron were far from being called guaranteed franchise superstar players.

There is always talent in the draft. This team is now closer to seed 7 then they are seed 4 and that cant be pinned on Bibby. When you trade away young players and draft picks for has beens you smell like Pete Babcock.

There are a lot of role players that can help the Hawks in this draft, but we drafted bad and wrong last year. So, what do you expect for this organization to do other than take the easy way out like blaming fans. As much as I still like Jordan there will be a lot of SG's in this draft that can really score as Sund stated that was the reason for drafting the guy. We needed and need bigs a lot more than a  guy that can really score by jacking up jumpers. The Hawks are done as long as they keep this management. Sund has been a failure for the most part and the ASG have totally failed.

Damion James doesn't suck...everyone has their own opinion but I've seen a couple guys in college that I think will be pretty good pros..

Houston's and next year Phoenix's

This draft is certainly not deep with impact players past the top 3 at best and certainly no one projected to be a franchise changer.  This has to be evident from the field in college being wide open and bottom dwellers trading lottery picks without a second thought to it. The rest of the prospects are practically interchangeable between the mid lottery to the late 2nd round. There is simply not a player with enough potential or fit that you can say won't be available past a certain pick. Right now it's all a case of who a GM likes personally because that same type of player will be available later and for less guaranteed money.

Agreed. I'm not even sure if anyone slated to go in the top three could help this team immediately, except maybe a Kyrie Irving who's been injured all season. Even if the Hawks wanted to trade some or all of the core for a top 3 lottery pick, it would seem like a bad move. In my opinion, this team REALLY needs a, gulp, Vince Carter/Dominique Wilkins type to re-energize the fan base and I just don't see that in this draft.
