I hate to bring up another scenario of a possible trade but I think this is one we can all agree on via that we need a legit center and al jefferson is 25 years old.

Coming from realgm.com who has been full of rumors as of late talks how Kanter is for sure he's going in the top 3 and he states that he likes the jazz. maybe there's some sort of connection there.

“First of all, I like the Jazz because they play together and they are a very good team,” he said Wednesday. “I believe I can help them. I played against the head coach one-on-one, he’s tough.”

Im sure most hawk fans would welcome al jefferson over the other many rumor trades for smith and company should the hawks go after him.

I'd be more into a trade for jefferson than most of the other rumors I've seen today.

Im pulling for utah to take kanter tonight!......there is def talk that smith is on the move and to me this is the best option straight up if we cant get a d. howard or cp3. al jefferson grabs boards and scores in the low post. his defense needs to be worked on but im sure he can work on that!

jazz should def take smith with no hesitation to go along with Kanter if they can draft him tonight and if they want we can make it more intresting by throwing in marvin & someone else to get millsapp out the deal too. that way they wont be overloaded on pf's and they can us derrick favors off the bench or hell put favors in that scenario.......i guy can dream right! LOL

I can't take stuff like this any more.... mentioning Howard and Paul in the same breath as Josh Smith is simply crazy.

I agree that Jefferson is about the best case scenerio but I can't see the Jazz trading Jefferson immediately since Kanter is only 19 years old. He needs a couple of years of development. They need Jefferson more then Smoove in my opinion. I don't think the fans of the Jazz would react well to Smoove's antic either. If he is booed in an city like Atlanta just imagine what Utah will think of him.

Wow Coach, we're on the same page alot today.  The last place I can see Smith ending up is Utah right now.  They need another PF like the Bulls need another PG.  They've already got Millsap and Favors on the roster.  Josh isn't really a SF, so for him to play that isn't good either.  As Coach said, Kanter most likely needs a year or 2 to develop.  Jefferson is their starting Center, while Millsap is the starting PF.  The future in Utah is Kanter as starting Center and Favors as starting PF.  I can see them moving Jefferson, but next off-season at the earliest IMO unless Kanter plays up to expectations this season.  Then Jefferson might be dealt mid-season.

I'd do it - not sure if the Jazz would do it.  It works straight up on the ESPN trade machine, though.

I would do the trade but the Jazz already have a lot of money invested in a PF
