The word from the New York Daily News is that one of those free agents, veteran shooting guard Jamal Crawford(notes), is likely to sign with a former employer, the New York Knicks, or the New Jersey Nets, if the Atlanta Hawks do not make a serious effort to re-sign him.
The 30-year-old Crawford, who is represented by New Jersey-based Andy Miller at ASM Sports, would like to return to the New York area, a source tells the paper.
