For your lottery bound Hawks.

We could use Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, Perry Jones, or Harrison Barnes. I think Barnes is Grant Hill-like.

Haha, if we can't make the playoffs in the East just because we're missing Horford, something is TERRIBLY wrong. We have a capable backup C and can make the playoffs at under .500. I say we'll be just fine as a #6 seed if anything.

Josh Smith is not reliable if you are trying to be a playoff team and he's your #1 or #2 option. Joe Johnson is not a top 5 SG anymore. Zaza or Collins are not starting centers. We are in trouble. Horford is our best player and the only quasi center that's any good. I really have no hope that we will make the playoffs. If we do it's as a 7th or 8th seed. I hope we tank, we need more talent anyway but with the extreme inconsistencies of Teague and Smith, they should do the trick for us. After the 7 seed, the East looks terrible. :-(

I hope we can move up in the draft or get lucky and have a Chicago happen to us.

Perhaps it is the optimist in me, but I kind of always thought that we had too many offensive options and not enough touches to go around. There are plenty of teams in the NBA that have only 3-4 offensive weapons on the court at a time (and while usually, the non-offensive weapons are there for their defense, Zaza is just gonna have to be there for his goofyness), and now we are one of them. Zaza doesn't need touches to be effective, and while we're obviously a worse team with Zaza on the cour instead of Horford, he is one of the best backup Centers in the league (in my opinion). This injury makes it necessary for JJ to stand up, and maybe with the extra touches that would have gone to Horf, he can do that. I am only scared of two things, Zaza being on the court in clutch time, and Collins getting any playing time. Oh well, we'll see what happens, but I doubt we miss the playoffs.

We aren't build to win without one of the big three especially the one being the best of the bunch. Even without Smith, it's hard to win. Joe is the most replacable.
