Recently read that the reason Atlanta was doing so good was because we
weren't  playing anybody.  Really?

In the east, only the Bulls and the Heat have 5 losses.  The Hawks have six.
That's the best records in the east.  Hawks have beaten both of these teams
who have but 5 losses each.

One team in the west has fewer losses than Atlanta.

So, the question has to be, who do you suppose that they want us to play?

Sure, Hawks are playing teams with a lesser record.  Why?  Because they are winning!
Four out of five on a long road trip.  That one loss, ugh.  The other four games.  WOW!

We will know where we stand after February.  Our schedule wont include all the weak teams we have been playing. We only play 4 games against teams under 500 where in January we played 10.

Can't forget this team last year always played down to the lesser teams. This is a different team folks! This year, we have been blowing out the lesser teams unlike last year.

Tough month ahead of us, we can certainly prove all the haters wrong. Let's go Hawks!

Who cares, we are beating the teams we are supposed to beat.  If we had lost to those sub .500 teams we wouldn't hear the end of it.  Blame the league, they are the ones who want to see the "marqee" matchups.

One of the biggest complaints we've had about this team for years is the inability to just beat the teams we should beat on a routine basis. We are really doing that this season and it shows in our record.

I hope this ability comes with it...Rise up and Kill a team by the 4th qtr.

For years, our beloved Hawks have been able to get leads on teams only to see said lead evaporate in the 4th.  It was almost expected.  Well, one of the things that happens when you start beating those teams you're supposed to is that you also learn how to close out a game early.

It used to drive me crazy that we would play a really good game against a good team (and win some, lose some) then play a crappy game against a bad team.  I'd rather go 4-1 and lose to SA, than go 3-2 or 2-3 and beat them. Beating the guys who you are supposed to beat is a mark of a team that's grown up.
