I've always thought Joe should've made at least a few Defensive Teams. He was as deserving as a Raja Bell, Stephen Jackson, or Sefalosha, and way more qualified than Dwayne Wade. If there was a Third Team, and it should be, he would've been on it 3 or 4 years straight. I've seen him disrupt Kobe too many times in Atlanta in wins to not be on a least one Team.

End of the season rank:
Josh Smith. Joe Johnson 2nd.
Teague 3rd Zaza 4th
No others really rank for me.

Over the course of the whole season its JJ hands down. For that 6 week period between March and April is was Josh. Right now its Teague for the playoffs but if we stretch this series out it could be Horford.

For all of the people who voted for Joe
Even though this topic is older, I bet the people who didn't vote for Josh are the same people who would vote for AL if the option was available. As in today, this topic wouldn't even be created. It's not even close lmao.

I voted for Josh. It aint popular but I have to be honest here. Smoove turned into a bonafide inside/outside threat this season while still being a great defender. The team took on a tough, gritty persona after Joe went down and Smoove was the primary guy. That genuinely impressed me as it gave me some insight into the type of player/person Josh really is. Despite all of his obvious faults, he worked and willed himself into a 19ppg-9rpg-3apg-1spg-1.5bpg player this past season and that should not be ignored. The fact that he is leading the league in rebounds during the Playoffs on a bum knee shouldn't be ignored either.

Why the limit of four players?
And, there was no _None of the above _ so you had the choice.
Vote for one of the four you picked out or don't vote.
Just wondering.

I voted Josh even though Joe had a monstrous March.
Really, in all actuality, it can go either way.
When you lose a key player and the team goes on winning... Everybody deserves some credit for stepping up.
I would say pleasant Surprises:
Teague, Zaza, and the Bench.
I would say disappointments:
Hinrich and Marvin.

I have Josh as our MVP this season and Joe is the only one close (and he is very close).
