The Following Players Will Not (necessarily) be on the Hawks next year:
SJax*, Glover, Ekezie, Nailon, Vaughn, Brandon
Leaving:
JT (1)/ DD (2)
Diaw (3)/ Hansen (1)
SJax*/ CC (1)
SAR (1) / Hendu (1)
Theo (1)/ Nazr (2)
ten players
that's what we're looking at. Talk of hiring a new coach, bringing in new troops, etc...that's what you've got to work with.

I would keep Reef, trade everyone else....
Here's my list of trades....
Theo/CC/#1 Philly to Cleveland
Big Z to Atlanta.
JT to Denver, White/Lenard #1 to Atlanta.
Nazr/Jax to San Antonio...
Mercer/#1 to Atlanta.
What do we have:
Big Z/SAR/White/Lenard/JV...
With 2 first rounders....

honestly D, it cracks me up when you come up with these four trade rebuilding deals. When was the last time you saw a team make four trades in a year, how about four in three two...three?
Add to that we can't trade JT till after the end of the season. If you want something now, you're going to have to be more creative...(gasp)

Weez, the last team I remember doing that was The Atlanta Hawks.....
They traded Smitty for JJ/JR.
They traded two picks for Lo Wright.
They traded Mookie for #10 pick
They traded Jumaine Jones for a pick...
That happened in the span of a week...
Do you want to quiz me anymore???
Also, there was the year that Deke was traded....
JJ/Filler for BK.
Deke for Theo/Toni/Nazr.
Then that summer: Pick/Lo/BK for Shareef.

-All made in the offseason, right around draft time when you knew what picks you were getting, who the players were
-We were commited to blowing up the team, and others were as well
- a rarity.
simply put, teams just don't make multiple trades. two trades perhaps in the course of a season (offseason can be soemthing somewhat different) but in season it's a rarity, even moreso now with what I call cap hangover...
"Cap Hangover" The existence of players with contracts, usually max, that they don't deserve, handed out just prior to, or shortly after, the lockout season and implimentation of the new CBA. see Jamison, the last player to really get a contract he max/franchise label contract that he didn't deserve and simply doesn't have the skills to like up to.
reef isn't really an example of this, cause given his age and the numbers he was putting up, he probably would have gotten that contract with any team he was playing for at the time.
