If we list the current Hawk's roster, from the most
desireable to keep to the least wanted,  how would
your list read, with the best at #1 and the worst @ #12?

I'm not saying, the best player -- Just who would you
really hate to loose.  Length of contract and cost of
keeping a player in $$$$ must be considered, as well
as age, talent and desire to win.

I'm not sure how I would list #2 thru #12.  I could be
happy with a good trade, loosing any of them.  My
only "Keeper" on the list, one I would hate for the
Hawks to trade away is our rookie Boris Diaw.

Your thoughts ?????

Well I think everyone besides hotlanta, -), wants to keep Boris.

I'm however more interested in what's coming back in the trade. With the way we are playing nobody is untouchable but I'm taking a crack at your list anyway

1. Sar
2. Diaw
3-12 don't care -)

I concur fully with Boondocks.  SAR and Diaw are keepers, everyone else is trade bait - preferrably for young players with potential, draft picks or expiring contracts - in that order of preference.

Except Reef, Hansen, DD and Diaw I don't care about the rest.  But I would like high picks ,2 guard(Spree,Rose,Jones, Penny type) or big C in return.

So far, we have:
#1 Boris Diaw
#2 SAR
#3 Hansen
#4 D.D.
#5-#12 -- The balance of the roster.

We don't even have a starting five here.  One veteran
in SAR and the rest low priced 1st and 2nd year players.

What we could get in return would determine whether
or not we traded #5 thru #12 but, if we got fair value
out of them, then who would weep because they were
gone?

So, the four above becomes the core around which we
want to build the future Hawks.

1) Diaw - cheap and productive with a lot of upside
2) JT - only remotely exciting player on the roster
3) Reef - flawed but best player on the roster

I could really care less about any of the others but:

4) Nazr - reasonable production for a reasonable salary
5) Theo - Unless we trade Reef, he can't be successful
6) Glove - erratic but cheap
7) Jax - erratic but cheap
8) DD - I haven't seen much but I'm not impressed so far
9) JV - career backup
10)Hansen - can have him for a ham sandwich
11) CC - can have him for a rack of basketballs
12) Hendu - WAY too much money for lack of production
