I don't think this deal would happen. [censored], if we really wanted Wallace, we would deal directly with Portland. And why wouldn't the opposite be true:
Reef/CC to PTL, Wallace to NY, Van Horn/Sweetney/Doleac.
Lots of Rumors of Reef to NY???

What is REALLY sad is that it is the Trailblazers holding it up.
Not us.
If Reef went to NY, that team could be incredible. Marbury and Reef would be dynamic.
Play.

You trade Reef for a half a season of Rashweed. No draft picks in return. No young players in return.
The Hawks get nothing out of the deal other than a stupid, dope smoking, woman beating, gang banging thug.

I take it from your post, you don't like the trade!
Ever notice how high the price of a used car is if you are
in the market to buy? If you buy it, then put it on the
market, it's value is practically nothing>
Must be the same way with players in pro sports. Do
people think that our Hawk players are worth very little?
Apparently so. And, they think their players are so
valueable.
Don't mind a good trade, but, don't want burned either.

Reef/CC for KVH, Doleac, Sweetney.
It's makes NY the best team in the East. But what does it do for us?
We are weaker but we have the building block of Sweetney with Soft Van Horn at Sf.
We'd actually have:
Theo/Sweetney/KVH/Jax/JT.
Next would be a trade of most of our other components... Namely Theo/Jax/JT.

Why in the world would the Hawks trade Reef for Van Horn, which is what this deal comes down to, especially looking at Van Horn's contract situation? Van Horn is making more money than Reef, and he has more years left on his contract. Sweetney is an undersized power forward, who when included with Van Horn is not worth Shareef alone. Doleac is a non factor in the deal. He doesn't rebound very well, which is what this teams really needs.
I would prefer drafting smartly over the next couple of years, and letting guys like Theo, Crawford, and Henderson walk after their contracts expire, before I settle on a garbage trade like this one.
TROUBLEMAN

I can agree with that.
My thinking is that We will probably be top 5 in the draft. IN turn, that would put us in a position to get a Strong PF. Weather it be Okafur, Howard, or somebody else. Still, I can agree with you. In fact, I favor us trying to get Josh Smith, Keeping Reef, trading JT.
