Richardson was diagnosed with a partially torn MCL, and his status for the season opener is in doubt.
This is potentially a VERY SERIOUS INJURY. The MCL is attached to the knee's meniscus (aka, what keeps the fluid in the joint). If he tore his meniscus as well, which is very common in MCL tears (not true of LCL tears), he might have to have surgery/ long rehab.
