Grob/Hendu/#21 to Indy...

For Chroshere/Mercer/Artest.

Salaries Meet.  ANd it makes sense.

First....

Croshere will never play for Isiah.

Oneal has asked that Artest/Mercer not be on the team that he returns to.

Indy lacks scoring and Depth in the worst way, Grob would actually be a fix.

Artest is about the best part of this trade for Indy but he's been such a hothead, that Oneal doesn't want to play with him and it's possible that nobody does.

Indy is left with a good team if they can resign 2 of their three big FAs.

Tinsley/Bender/Grob/Oneal/Miller.

That's tenative because I think Harrington will be involved in a trade.  I'm thinking maybe to PTL or Toronto (AW).

But the 21 could be used to get them what they need... SG/PG help.

i donno... we might be better off waiting 2 years for GROBs contract to go out.

But it does make sense.  Im also kinda scared of Artest.  If we can get a coach that can contain him, id go through with the trade.

And someone- PLEASE MOTIVATE CROSHERE into being that guy who had NO-FEAR taking it strong to the lakers.

I like Artest. He's a headcase, but the man can ball. He's a hardnosed player. I can't name anyone on our team that works harder than Ron...

I like Artest as well. The Hawks need someone with a little fire. Newble was the only guy we had last year that was willing to get a little rough and dirty. As it stands right now we are a pretty soft team.

I think the Hawks teams of the past say....12-13 years have been soft. We haven't had a true enforcer on this team since the days of Willis, Antione "The Original Big Dog" Carr, Cliff "Good News" Levingston, and even Tree Rollins. Those guys would mix it up with anyone in the L from Bill Laimber to MJ. I miss those teams. Thats why we NEED a hardnosed coach like a Carlisle or a Fratello. As long as we bring in these guys who have no fire, we'll continue to get no respect...
