You have to wonder how the Heat will hold up having the bulls-eye on their chests every single game like that. I mean EVERY team is going to go at them tooth and nail every game. That doesn't necessarily mean they won't get their butts beat, but every team is going to approach playing the Heat as being a huge deal this season, and every team would take enormous pride in beating them. I would think that would have to be very fatiguing for Miami, a season full of games in which every team they play will be motivated as hell to try and beat them.
Which is easily canceled out by the lame "Superfriends'" desire and passion to win not one, but many titles together. They know they can do it, they have the talent to do it, the owner is doing everything he can to help them do it, and together they will try to do just that. Besides, what matters is the playoffs anyway, and by that time they will likely shine even brighter.

We are a still young playoff team that needs to add a few more pieces to succeed.
Yes, but we aren't making ANY moves nor adding ANY pieces to succeed. As a matter of fact, as it stands right now, we might have gotten
ever so slightly worse. We have a "new" motion offense being learned by the team for the first time that is bound to not run smoothly all the time, a HUGE question mark at PG (especially if Teague starts), and we STILL don't have a legit backup big man banger. Hell, even if I'm wrong and we are slightly better (hopefully), it appears as though it may not be enough to counteract the Miami "paper champions," Orlando, re-loaded Bulls, Celtics (of the playoffs variety), and other improved teams.
While most teams with significant talent are gearing up with solid moves, we are standing pat. It's ok to stand pat when you are, I dunno, the Lakers or just won the championship. And guess what, we are nowhere near that level--and won't be until we get some ownership in here that is willing to spend money to significantly improve the roster. Leaning on a bench of an aging PG/Teague, JC and trash didn't cut it, won't cut it, and never will cut it.
