I like these moves alot, but I feel that Philly will probably match on the offer to Hawes.

Sign Spencer Hawes to full MLE
Sign & Trade Jamal Crawford to Indiana Pacers for Dahntay Jones

Why Indy does it: They need a SG that can create his own shot and score.  Crawford fits the bill.  Indy is under the cap and could sign him outright; however this move allows them to possibly use the additional $ on another FA.

Why Atlanta does it: They get a backup, defensive minded-two guard to back up Joe.  Dahntay can score a little, but he's more or less, to be counted on for his defense.

Re-Sign Jason Collins, Zaza Pachulia, Damien Wilkins, Pape Sy

Teague/Hinrich/Sy
Johnson/Jones/summer camp signee
Smith/Williams/Wilkins
Horford/Rolle
Hawes/Pachulia/Collins/Benson

I'm not thrilled about the "big lineup" as a permanent fixture, but maybe it helps our poor rebounding.  Collins works well in the "big lineup", but is one of the poorest rebounding bigs.  Hawes is a big man that can pass wonderfully and having 5 guys on the floor that can pass is idea for Drew's motion offense.

Crawford for Jones is taking a step back for us IMO.

I don't think it's a step back so much as it is a step in a different direction.  They are two totally different types of players.   One is considered an excellent defender and not so great scorer.  The other is considered a pretty good scorer and not so great defender.
