I like it for us a lot. Why does Philly want to do this? They have already committed big money to Elton Brand at PF.

The other one posted includes Nicioni which makes it even more unlikely for them. Depends on the upside of the big fella

So is there the belief that Iggy for Smoove would make us a better team? I would really like to see our lineup of Teague/Joe/Smoove/Horf with a good shooting/defending SF plugged in there. I think swapping Smoove or Horf for another player on the same level will never get us beyond the first round. We have to add talent not just swap it out.
I realize there is the belief in building a more 'properly' constructed team but I'm good with Smoove/horf as PF/C with Zaza backing up. I think having a good SF would prevent Smoove from being out of position and jacking shots.
I believe in Prince and think he'd be a bargain. I realize most probably think he's done but hell he's younger than Marion.

How about this trade?
Hawks get:
Andre Iguodala
Louis Williams
Mareese Speights
76ers get:
Joe Johnson
Marvin Williams
3 future picks

This trade makes absolute sense for the Hawks. With this deal, we rid ourselves of JJ's obscene contract. We get the playmaking ability of Iguodala without giving up Josh Smith's defensive tenacity. Because we keep Smoove and move JJ, Iguodala can play his natural position (SG). Iggy is an upgrade over JJ on defense - the Hawks would be a force on the defensive end. Louis Williams would fill the void left by Jamal Crawford's departure (a scoring guard off the bench). Mareese Speights is a toss-in - a useless center to replace the slightly more useless Hilton Armstrong.
This trade also makes big time sense for the Sixers. They get Joe Johnson, who is an all-around uprgrade over Iggy. With a fresh start and full recovery from injuries, JJ could bounce back to superstar-type numbers. By getting Marvin, they would fill the void at SF left by Thaddeus Young. Maybe Marvin kickstarts his career under a new coach.
The 76ers take on quite a bit of money, and they do (barely) get the short end of the stick in this deal. So, the Hawks just send over a couple draft picks to seal the deal.
Following the deal, the Hawks should add Reggie Evans as a FA (mid-level exception). It is important to get Evans, a PF, so Smoove can play SF and Horf can play C. Next, they should sign Jeff Foster (an excellent rebounder) for the veteran's minimum.
Hinrich/Teague/Sy
Iguodala/Williams
Smith/Wilkins
Evans/Foster/Powell
Horford/Pachulia/Twin/Benson
