All those players for Smith wouldn't even be worth it, so throwing Zaza in makes no sense.

i disagree twill has a lot of upside and is also an above average defender
and Courtney lee is another above average defender then they throw in Scola

and if we sign another big in FA and we already drafted Benson whats the point of having Zaza?

I really think we should keep Smith, and getting Hayes doesn't solve our "height" problem.

We  should hold on to Josh Smith, Al Horford and Jeff Teague I think with those three young talents and with Joe Johnsons experience we might do something big for the 2011/12 year.

I think you undervalue both of the players that we'd give up. Zaza is not some useless big man. Besides, both teams would lose wins in that trade, so I don't think that either team would strongly consider it.

Agreed.

From a ticket sale perspective, you are trading an exciting finisher/shotblocker (Smith) and a fan favorite (Zaza) for three pretty boring players.  The guys from Houston could add something, but there is definitely not a lot of excitement to their games.  I definitely don't see Atlanta making this trade.

Keep Smith. I think it's LD that's making us want to trade smoove. Either LD changes his philosophy to be a defensive-minded coach, or he should get fired.
