I was toying with this scenario this morning and wanted to throw it out to everyone.  I honestly don't know if we get enough back in this and whether or not the other teams involved would go for it, but just some fun this morning.

Atlanta receives: Chris Duhon, Matt Barnes, Pau Gasol, and Ryan Anderson
Orlando receives: Meta WorldPeace, Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom, and Zaza Pachulia
Los Angeles receives: Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, Hedu Turkoglu, and Kirk Hinrich

Atlanta

We could re-sign Damien Wilkins and Jason Collins to min. deals. We wouldn't have to re-sign Jamal Crawford because our bench would be much improved with the additions of Anderson and Barnes.  Gasol is a 7' PF that can score in the post and rebound.  He's not a great man-defense player; however he still blocks shots well enough to help Horf in the post.  He gives us a legit post scoring option though and vet leadership. We'd still have 3 roster spots to fill.  While we give up any chance of getting Dwight Howard home, we also get him out of our division and conference.  Atlanta is a little weak in the guard postiions (outside the starters), but have alot of depth at the 3-4 which has not been a strong point of the team for a while.

Teague/Duhon/Sy
Johnson/Wilkins
Williams/Barnes
Gasol/Anderson
Horford/Collins/Benson

Orlando

Orlando gets a legit center to replace Dwight Howard.  They also get some depth to replace some of the players they lost in this deal.  They still have the opportunity to be a strong defensive team despite losing the best defensive player in the NBA.  They can use amnesty on Arenas and get under the LT, but no one is going to pick up a considerable portion of his salary.  NO ONE.  They can re-sign Jason Richardson to give them a quality 2 guard.

Nelson/Arenas
JRichardson/Reddick
WorldPeace/QRichardson
Odom/Bass/Orton
Bynum/Pachulia

The Lakers get younger and better defensively.  I honestly think this move has to make them the favorite in the West.  Dwight and Smith are reunited in the biggest spotlight. LA has alot of holes to fill on the bench, but they also don't mind spending their exemption and vets will go their for cheap for the chance to win it all.

Hinrich/Fisher/Blake
Bryant/Brown
Turkoglu/Walton
Smith/Caracter
Howard

I don't honestly know if this would improve our team enough or at all, but it's really just for fun to look at.  Salaries do match up btw.

I'm probably just greedy, but to pass on both retaining Smoove and an opportunity at D12, I'd want at least a couple low first-round picks for my trouble.
