I suppose he'll get more run with Humphries injured,as well as Brook.

That's probably what I would look like, if I could even dunk. And you know what, I'd be proud of it too.

Funny thing is, the guy will be in the league another ten years.
If you have size enough to play on the interior, you will stick around. I don't know if you remember a UK player by the name of Mark Pope but the guy was not remotely an NBA player yet has 6 NBA seasons on his resume because he could fill space at the end of a bench and was 6'10''. There are a lot of guys like that. Shelden is a bench warmer who is a step better than that. If he gets 25+ minutes per game for a while he will rack up some rebounds during his time on the court.

Right, I remember Tree Rollins, Moses, Parish sticking around for a good while. Even now Juwan Howard.

At least those guys were all very good big men. You don't need to be a good big man to stick around. Just be large enough to play inside and marginally competent and you can have a long career. Contemporary examples other than Shelden for me would be Anthony Tolliver, Aaron Gray, Kosta Koufos, Brian Scalabrine, and....Jason Collins.
