JaVale McGee, Andray Blatche
for
Al Horford
Here's why I said not bad. The trade is on the premise that Washington takes Horf as is and tanks the season. Starts off next season with Horf/Wall/1st rounder.
For us...
I like Washington's bigs defensively and in transition. McGee has no offense but I think on our team, he can learn somethings from the old pros.
Mainly, I like it for the defense and rebounds.
I like it for Washington too.
Wall, Young, Horf, and Andre Drummond... would make a good young team.
Saw this and said... NOT Bad.

I would love to have McGee but not for Horford. Blatche is a waste of space...I know he puts up nice stats but he is a chemistry killer, a knucklehead and he is pure lazy on defense. There is a reason washington with all of their talent is such a mess. He brings your team down and I don't want him on our roster.

I think on a young team with no real identity, he's a problem. ON this team filled with vets, with a defenite roll, he would be a fit.
But you have read me right. McGee. I see McGee struggling in Washington due to a lack of growth. Nobody is working with those bigs. If you want honesty, McGee has far more potential than Al does. Al has more polish right now though. I would expect that McGee would be a much easier player to train seeing that his mother played. I haven't looked at Salary, but to me, this trade is doable.

I was impressed with Mcgee when we played them. If coach told him to grab 15 boards, block shots, and only score on dunks, he could be a great addition.

Blatche cannot be within 50 square miles of a strip club and be expected to focus on basketball. Really saddened by his approach to the game especially given his size and talent and he's already been coached up by some great lockerroom guys like Butler and Jamison too. McGee would be the main catch but I worry severly about his oncourt intelligence. It's a good trade from a talent standpoint but there will be some serious growing pains in getting these guys inserted into the schemes because they are seriously dumb as rocks so I think another prospect or pick would have to be included by them to sweeten it.
Washington would do it because they get a great consistent talent and basketball mind in Horf to finally help Wall in the frontcourt and I'm sure they'll be in line for whichever top big in the upcoming draft or might even be able to convince Dwight to sign.
