Opponent record was not really telling of how difficult our schedule was, we are also the only team to have 9 games in the first 12 days over that time period.  Our schedule will still be extremely congested till about mid-february but after that I'm sure things can and should even out if we are playing tougher opponents but with more rest than facing guys like the Bobcats and Nets on zero rest like we have.

Three games with the Nets and one game with Washington really made our look schedule easier.  However, like MaceCase said, we had to play 9 games in 12 days.

We also had to play the Bulls and Heat, probably the two best teams in the East, 4 times in 6 days.  Sandwiched in there was a game @ Charlotte and we always struggle up there.  We have also played 7 road games, including games against 3 of the top 6 teams in the East.

So looking at the winning percentage our schedule looks a little easier than it actually has been.  I don't think that we have actually had the 10th easiest schedule when you look at everything else.

I'm sure they don't take into account the number of back to back to backs, the back to backs the every other day or unlike some teams (HEAT) that have 3 days off, they last played Friday 13th not playing again until the 17th....mmmmmmmmmmm.  Hawks have had 4 back to back, 1 b2b2b, Heat have had 3 b2b

hard to say really....I mean the hawks did play the bulls and heat twice in one week! and won 2 games out of the 4 in that week with both these teams being recongnize as elite teams! then the fact that ATL whooped the heat and bulls in both wins they had in that week!...thats pretty impressive! we may have had a weaker schedule but what team in the nba has had a harder week?!

Think it might be a more valid stat if you add last season's W/L %'s to this year's. My opinion.

Sure we had an easy schedule.  Why?  Look at our opponents record against us.
Any time we win, it's easy, right?  As Sturt says, check their won - loss record
from last season or - - check their record without including their Hawks games.

Bulls have lost only 3 games all season and CNNSI has them ranked #1.
Hawks have one of these 3 losses and the other game was oh so close.

We went 3-1 for the week and dropped way down in the rankings.  Why?
Because we're no good without Big Al.  Go figure.  Their opinion is like noses.
Everyone has one, like it or not.

not looking good 3 straight embarassing losses at home to two sub.500 teams and a pretender in the 76ers This is deja vu from last season and the next few weeks might the be the nail in the coffin that will mentally destroy this team for the season or is a chance for a turn around. THIS IS ABSOULTELY THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME TO HAVE A STRETCH OF TOUGH GAMES AFTER HOW WE PLAYED THE LAST FEW GAMES. Take a look at this crazy schedule.. and we will be playing 2 elite teams on NATIONAL TELEVISION...

2/8 vs Pacers
2/10 @ Orlando
2/12 vs Heat ON ESPN
2/14 @ LA
2/15 @ Phx
2/18 @ Portland
2/20 @ Chicago ON ESPN
2/22 @ New York
2/23 vs Magic

This kinda thing I was afraid of. After having pretty easy schedule where our schedule consist of mostly bad teams such as the Wiz,Nets,Bobcats, and raptors. everyone was happy we were winning I was not.  I knew there was gonna be a stretch where we play a bunch of tough games. Well this is it....

I cant not take another national tv embarassment let alone 2 of them. I am still alitle salty about that heat game. (Losing to a bunch of d leaguers w/ Chris Bosh, Charles Barkely and other commentators constantly taking a dumb on this team/franchise/city.)

What are yall opinions??  (Srry If I come off as a pessimistic a-hole) I am just really worried

Teague has to step up every game or we could have a losing record going into the all star game.

These next four games are going to be crucial. Indy probably beats us again, and ORL will probably drub us since Collins--who is only useful against one guy in the entire league--won't  be back for another two weeks. Heat will blow us out on national TV, and the Lakers' size will utterly punk and outclass us. I could see us lose all four, 1-3 at best.

The subsequent four are all on the road. Suns are a toss-up since we will probably play better than we did tonight...but we will be on the road this time. We barely beat PORT last time, and Chicago could beat us again...especially on their home court. And the defensively-challenged and highly-overrated New York may, may decide to win a game for once. Heck, we played a terrible defensive team tonight and went too many stretches without scoring a FG. So realistically, probably 2-2.

And lastly, the Magic at home. Who knows?

These four home games--culminating with the Pacers on Wednesday--were supposed to help us weather the much tougher mid-to-late Feb schedule. Instead, we dropped the ball.

My prediction: This could very well begin a free-fall for the Hawks.
