Uhm, it says that the Wizards were negotiating with his agents and were unable to come to an agreement..... not that they are actively shopping him.

Just to keep you abreast of what's going on in general,  the deadline to extend players from the 2008 draft was yesterday.  Teams could either extend their players before the deadline or subject them to restricted free agency in the summer.  Not reaching a deal by the January deadline doesn't mean a team is not interested in resigning a player though.

His reputation in his short career is bad, but Flip Saunders' is worse so I would give him the benefit of the doubt as far as becoming a consistent professional under much better coaching.  His length is ridiculous so I would think he's on every team's radar.  You can never have enough rim defense.

I have also been reading about how he is a moron (extremely low bbiq), has attitude problems and wants close to max money (which is laughable).  I think he is a talent and is a legitmate center but I would not mortagage the boat to get him (ie give up Horford).

What site?  Either way, if that site came to that conclusion based on that tweet then they are interpreting wrong or just filling their own agenda.

if they have not come to an agreement on an extension that is a red flag. He probaly is looking for a 10M-12M salary which is ridiculous.

Marvin and a future first rounder should get a deal done. The Wizards want a veteran.

Pretty much.  His agent probably balked at their offer or told them what he "deserves" so the Wizards figure they'll wait til the summer and let the market dictate his price instead.  If it's reasonable they'll match, if not then they'll work out some SnT or just let him walk.

Don't they want a useful veteran?
