In my mind, Horf for Howard is still on.
I know word has floated around the boards about how Kaman is now available.  Welp, after watching how misraebly the Magic are right now, maybe it's time for Sund to call Otis back and retry the deal. Like it or not, Howard is leaving Orlando.  There are some deals on the table, but I don't see anybody offering better than Horf right now. D-12 unsigned for Horf/Marivn is a deal that Orlando can't walk away from.   OK, we'd give them Hinrich instead of Marvin if they ask nicely.

The point is that this is a deal that would energize this franchise.  The fans in Atlanta needs something to get behind.  I know that:

D-12, Josh, Tmac, Joe, and Teague is something to get behind.

Even if D-12 says one and done... Isn't it worth it?  What would it do for this city to have a championship come home?

Here's my deal.  We win the championship and D-12 says he wants to play in Jersey.  I would sign and trade him to Jersey for Capspace and their #1 pick for this year, 2014, and 2016. To me, winning a championship with:  Joe, Josh, Tmac, Teague, and Larry... would be worth losing Horf.  We can find a better C in this draft.

Diesel you know better about posting fantasy trades in the main forum. Any more threads like this and I'm going to start deleting them as I'm getting tired of moving them.

Another clever ruse at a trade in homecourtPosted Image . We get it Diesel, we would all love to have D-12 but posting the same suggestion with a different heading is by definition insanity (doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result).

Not so fast my friend!!!!Posted Image   There are a lot of squawkers who would not give up Horf for a D-12 rental.  My post was just a confirmation that this city needs a big move and that's the big move that's worth it... even if it means that "at the end of the day" we lose both D-12 and Horf.

I didn't intend it to be a "trade" discussion.  It was more a discussion about winning a championship but losing Horf to do it.  Basically reliving giving up Nique for Manning.

I understand that, there are some who are OK with the rental and losing Horf and there are some who are not. Nothing NEW.

I'd rather have Horford and continue to build around him and this group than to risk losing him and seeing Dwight sign elsewhere just to try and prove a point to the city, which at the end of the day the point would be "look at us bufoons who gave up arguably our best player and we couldn't even sign the guy we traded him for".

That's like OJ saying he didn't mean to "kill" Nicole and Ron.  It was more about seeing how sharp his knife is.  You know your thread was a fantasy trade and I'd appreciate you at least acknowledging that.

I acknowledge that it was based off of a fantasy trade... However, when you say fantasy trade, it's a can we get this for that.  I think we all know that we could go after Howard.  I was not speculating about weather we could do it or weather Orlando would go for it... I was testing the waters to see WHO could stand beihind  losing our starting C for a shot at a championship.  I now see that I should have brought in player X to keep the intent foremost.
