And you give yourself away
And you give yourself away
And you give
And you give
And you give yourself away

Alright...

We're 8-2 without Horf.  And I know we have not played against the Juggernauts of the league.  You know OKC have not walked through that door.  Since gone, Chicago hasn't walked through that door.  And we did have to struggle against Detroit and we did lose to Philly and Indiana.  However, in this season.. with back to backs being the norm, we have shown a lot.  Zaza has stepped up.  The question now...  How important is AL?  We miss his rebounds.  We miss his "leadership" or do we?  There are teams that would pay a King's ransom for Al.  The question is are we interested?

Forever trying to break up this team aren't you?  The only person worth trading for a king's ransom is Joe because of his age and contract.  Al and the rest have very good contract and are young so no I'm not interested.

Success is when preparation meets opportunity.

Right now, it's evident that there is a closing window in Atlanta.
Right now, it's evident that there are two PF trying to handle the C/PF position.

Why is it that we experience some success when a real C plays the C position??
Our Big Lineup was successful against Orlando when on the year before, we were crushed in the worst playoff loss in Playoff history.
Nobody likes to dwell in the facts but these are the facts.
Fact is last year, Horf gave us 11.3 ppg, 9.6 rebs per game in the playoffs.
The year before, Horf gave us 14.6 ppg, 9.0 reb per gam in the playoffs.

Horf had a better year 2 yrs ago than Last year, yet, 2 years ago,we had our worst outing in history against Orlando and last year, we beat them in 6 games.
How important is Horf?
I'm not saying give him away, but let's start to think about how to build this team the right way and what would we need to be successful.

Success is when Preparation meets opportunity.

The Opportunity is now.  Are we prepared to give up our homerism for a better team and a shot at a championship?

Trading Horford for McGee and Nick Young is giving him away

I would only trade Horford for a Dwight Howard type package.

Offer me Nene-Gallinari for Horford-Marvin and maybe I'll think about it.

Galli just got a huge contract, doubt they will deal him.

I wasn't blowing the trumpet for that deal...  BUT I don't think McGee is that big a waste for this season.  This season, let's face it, Horf is not coming back until the playoffs and we don't know what kind of shape he will be in.  McGee is one of the best Athletic 7 footers in the game.  At the least, he can provide rebounds and defense.  The same thing we get from Horf.  I actually believe we get more from McGee.  If we get Young too... WOW!

You're right.  However, look at what they have with them?  A dysfunctional team.  We have a little more than that.   In essence, we don't lose anything (this season) and we gain them two!!  That's robbery.

Diesel, quit trolling. It's either Dwight Howard or nothing at all. I would trade both Smith and Horford for Dwight Howard and Anderson.
