I called this already but Martin has signed with the Clippers for a 1 year deal worth over two million.

So it is back to the drawing board for our cheap ownership that won't spend over the cap to find a guy worth the veteran mininum.

predictable the money and chauncy billups were probaly the main factors. No way he was gonna take less money to come play with us lol.

It definitely sucks, but if ownership felt like some of the posters did around here that Martin would have only been a slight upgrade then they probably felt he wasn't worth paying dollar-for-dollar in luxury taxes.  I can't say that I agree with that but I was much more interested in signing K-Mart than some were.  Disappointing, but at least knowing that this was unlikely to happen due to our ownership I was able to keep from getting my hopes up.

Agreed, at least we made the effort. I will still respect that, and I am sure we will find someone. Martin wasn't on the top of my list anyways.

So, who would be on your list?  Just curious.

Good forth Clips I guess.  They're thin in terms of bigs on the bench (and we are suddenly after Twin act like he got shot) and Martin has some post offense left, something Webber pointed out that Griffin is weak in other than his spin.  I wasnt a fan of him coming here, so, ehh.  What are the chances he goes down with a final injury to his lower body causing him to retire with an uneventful stint here?  Very high.

Well I don't think Pryz has anything to offer anymore (his knees are shot and he can't jump anymore) so I am not sure what big man is out there now that can contribute.  Hopfully Twin is okay because we will need him when we play the big center teams.
