I think the deal is more than N.O. could have asked for.  They get Marvin... Marvin is having a decent year and under a different system... who knows.

We get Kaman.  IF he's in good bball shape, he's what we need for a playoff run.
Kaman = Better than Collins and Zaza.

Way too much to give up for Kaman, IMO.

Agreed, absolutely awful trade for a team who is already short on quality players as it is.

Of course, I disagree.

We need rebounding and post offense and defense.

Last year, he was a 12.4 and 7.0 Center  with 1.5 blocks per in 26 minutes.
He's been an allstar player and he can defend.

Diesel, your Marvin trades always suck. We don't see him like you do. We don't think he is the worst player in the NBA. So when you start to see that we don't see Marvin like you do, now you understand why we think you threads with Marvin suck.

I agree with Diesel, if there were any good time to trade Marvin, now is it.  He is currently playing decent ball and other team may be duked into taking him on.  The only year he sustained decent play throughout the year was before he re-signed for his 5 year $37 million dollar extension.

This is the time.

Kaman has played in N.O.s last two games.

1.  10/12/2 with 2 blocks.

2. 17/9/2 with 3 blocks.

We need the rebounding.  We need the post offense and defense.  Marvin may appeal to N.O.

The number of games that Kaman has played in prior to this year, with the most recent year (last year) listed first:
  • 32
  • 76
  • 31
  • 56
  • 75
  • 78
  • 63
  • 82
And you want to pay a guy $14 who has played in 32, 31, 56 and 63 games those 4 of those 8 seasons and you want to count on him to play C for us while giving away a starting caliber PG (who can also play and defend the 2) and our starting SF.  That's absolutely awful and it's a large part of why the vast majority are against it.
