Neither were the NY Giants early in their year.

Get AL back - fire our current coach - and make a run.
While LD has his flaws, this roster has serious issues.  Even when healthy, they are undersized and flawed.  Simply changing the coach is not going to fix that.  More is needed.

Anything will be better than watching za-za fumble away easy passes all game.

My biggest question is:  What is the front office afraid of?  They will
make no move at all, good, bad or otherwise.

They are like a small child who is afraid of the dark.  A big bad bugger
is going to grab them if they move.  That's our GM and his cronies
and his bosses, the owners.

Who is at fault?  Who knows.  Someone is in the dark and afraid to
breathe loud.  Something might hear them and grab them.

BOO!!

I think our current coach was pretty good when he had a healthy starting 5.  Had our players hit their FTs we would have beaten the Bulls and Heat 4 times in the same week and he took a much better Bulls team to 6 games in the playoffs last year with basically 1 PG who had little experience, and he beat a Magic team that under the previous coach had beaten the tar out of us.

LD is unfairly getting too much criticism around here and people have too high of an expectation for this roster as it stands today with Al out.

He definitely has awful hands! ... but at the same time Josh shouldn't be trying to throw bounce passes and difficult to handle passes to our clumsy center on the break.

That is why Josh should never be handling the ball on the break. Time and time again, Josh grabs a rebound and instead of passing the ball to a guard to bring up the court he brings it up instead of running the break hard. Josh can be getting some easy shots in transition if he would give the effing ball up. This is about the only thing that Josh does consistently, not giving the ball up after a rebound.Posted Image

This is very true!  Josh has great vision and he's a terrific passer for a PF but I don't care how good he is at that since his decision making is often very poor and it's not his job to be leading the break.  He could be making a killing off of transition buckets if he'd just give the ball up.  Just imagine what it would be like if he had Nash or Paul here as they would not put up with that but it wouldn't take Josh long to learn to give it up once he started seeing the results of giving it up.

If you look at tape from his earlier days, he gave the ball up and ran the break and was a highlight reel.  I don't expect him to be the same, but Josh loafs up and down the court way to often.

Is it just me or does is seem long overdue that the Hawks consider signing a true Center?  I just read an article (http://bleacherrepor...n=atlanta-hawks) about the Hawks looking to sign a Center now that Collins is hurt but haven't the Hawks fans (including Al Horford's dad) been asking/hoping the Hawks would sign a true Center for quite awhile now.  Not that any of the Centers/Players mentioned in the article is the answer to the Hawks long-term solution but at least it is nice to see the Hawks management finally admit that they need some help inside.

I have to admit that I don't believe too much what the Bleacher Report says but in this case I do believe that the Hawks will be signing one of those players they mentioned.  I don't think the Hawks have much of a choice but to sign a backup Center since both Collins and Horford are out.

This is based off of the AJC article that is already being discussed on here.

And as others have mentioned Bleacher Report "articles" are pretty much garbage.

Sund is operating like he has one last bullet in his gun (e.g. cap space). He's afraid to shoot the rabbit he sees now in case a deer comes along. Never mind he's in a desert, with no food or water, but man that mythical deer is just around the next cactus.

I think Sund's hands are tied for the most part because of our cap situation and A$G.
