Well, its time for our management to either 'put up' or 'shut up' this season. We all know our Hawks need help at the center position. Hell, we've known for the past 8yrs so there's a good chance Sund and ASG know...maybe?? Riiiight... They should be in the boiler room now as we speak.. Fussing, fighting, playing Yahtzee, figuring out who will recieve the bigger portion of the lucrative 'under the salary cap money' from the NBA at the end of the year. Maybe Gearon's playing phone tag with Sund. "Hello, its ASG and we want you to spend whatever you need to make us contenders!! HAHAHA! Just kidding, its me Rick! Guys he fell for it! We get you every time Rick!" But in actuality, I think we were waiting for the 10-day contract mark all along. Soooo!!!!! I compiled a wonderful list of possibilities for our half-season teases.
drum roll... duh dah chiiiii!!!!
#1 Brian Butch 6'11 240lbs
PPG: 19.8 FT: 71%
RPG: 12.5 3PT: 44%
APG: 0.5 FG: 41%
EFF: +24.25 BPG: 1.2
Brian Butch is a good shooter that can stretch the floor and provide more lanes for our guards to work. He's a scorer with a good mentality when it comes to rebounding. He lacks the ideal weight to challenge bigger post players but his length provides help.
#2 Chris Daniels 7'0 265lbs
PPG: 16.8 FT: 70%
RPG: 8.6 3PT: 46%
APG: 2.4 FG: 55%
EFF: +20.21 BPG: 2.1
Chris Daniels was picked up and waived by the LA Lakers in December. He has good size and nice touch around the basket. Shows good vision under the post and gets teammates involved. Needs to play with more intensity but I think he should do well next to Zaza and Ivan.
#3 Jeff Foote 7'0 265lbs
PPG: 14.6 FT: 53%
RPG: 8.5 FG: 55%
APG: 1.0 BPG: 1.1
EFF: +15.67
Was picked for 2012 NBA D-League Allstar game. Played at Cornell University in college. I see him as a nice fundamentally sound center that can be molded at the NBA level. He has great size with the possibility to add about 5 more pounds to his frame. He has a good running hook and plays disciplined defense on the other end. Needs to work on his free throws but he's only played 4 games this year for the Development League.
#4 Keith 'Kito' Benson 6'11 230lbs <---- Do we bring back Kito for a do-over??
PPG: 12.6 FT: 58%
RPG: 7.2 FG: 54%
APG: 0 BPG: 0.6
EFF: +12
We know this kids story and some of us on the Squawk felt like he was slighted for the service of an 'over the hill' vet in Stackhouse. Kito has a good touch around the basket and can shoot the 12 footer. His only quib is his small frame. Adding about 30 more pounds of muscle will give him the frame to compete in this league.
#5 Will Foster 7'5 260lbs
PPG: 5.7 FT: 43%
RPG: 6.7 FG: 56%
APG: 0.4 BPG: 2.9 <----- GOOD DEFENDER AND ACTIVE!!
EFF: +10.67
This kid is looong!! He fights to gain position under the basket and goes up tough. He protects the basket and uses his size to pester his opponent. Very active hands around the basket. Could be a diamond in the rough if we give him a chance.
#6 Kyroylo Fesenko 7'1 280lbs
PPG: 2 FT: 40%
RPG: 2 FG% 50%
APG: 0.4 BPG: 0.4
EFF: +10.67
----->FACE IT!! We all like Fesenko because he's a pitbull under the basket. He's dirty and mean when it comes to physicality. Just imagine the faces of coaches and players when he's paired with IVAN "the Merciless" Johnson.. Eww.. Just nasty! Ace bandages and ice to the left bench please.. Parental advisory on all 3D televisions. lol
So.... What should we do with Stackhouse? Should we throw his AARP card into the garbage can the next time we go on a roadtrip and leave him there (Yesss!!)? Or should we put him next to Van Exel in a "Larry Drew suit"?? Yes.. yes.. I'm still trying to figure out where LD buys his suits.. Maybe Burial Magazine??? Lol. But seriously, what should we do with Stackhouse?
Secondly, how do you guys feel about the other options I've listed here for possible 10-day contracts?? Personally, I really like Brian Butch, Will Foster, and Jeff Foote as my possible candidates. Fesenko should be signed for the rest of the year.

I want the 7'5" Dude. If he could put on another 200 pounds he could be Andre the Giant size!
