TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Atlanta and Seattle being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Atlanta and Seattle had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

no for 1 reason...
would u trade Ratliff for James?  
cuz thats what its gonna look like next year.

sure we get cap space, but its not like anyone wants to play here.... so wats the point in having cap space?

also, James is not a starter in this league... he got benched in Seattle.  hes a poormans Jamaal Magloire..

I'd still start Nazr...but the risk would be in how you'd guarantee retaining Barry after his contract expires after the year...

I would do this trade....

No doubt.

Why?  Because we need Barry.
Do I worry about Barry Leaving?  Sure... But if he doesn't resign...

We trade JT and start the rebuild early....

I would trade JT for a SG or SF.  Possibly to Utah for Harpring.

I would Look at some FAs.

Damon Jones/Wallace/Persons/Ginobilli/Turkoglu.

And I'd look to make 2 good draft choices.
