February, 2064

Today, as the Atlanta Hawks and the Indiana Pacers closed
out their traditional MLK meeting, Jason Terry III, the
grandson of the original J.T., with time winding down,
found himself guarding a frail figure, sitting just behind
the three point line in his wheel chair.  The attached oxygen
tank gave proof that this was indeed the famous 98 year
old legend, Reggie Miller.

As expected, with time expiring, Miller lifted the three
point attempt to tie the game.  As it caught nothing but
net, J.T. III swore that he touched nothing but the chair.
Nevertheless, Miller was wheeled to the free throw line
where he calmly sank the winning shot, as time had
expired while his three was in the air.

Miller, who only plays against the Hawks, was quoted,
"Was there ever any doubt?  I own these guys!"

Four victories a year, the rest of the time he spends
on the D.L. and rests up for Hawk games.

Forget Reggie Miller -- what your story SHOULD have intimated is that the FLOP ARTISTS win again.  It should have mentioend that there was NO chance the refs were going to call an even game.

Yeah, Reef went to the line.  But, overall.... every one of our starters were in foul trouble.  Indiana fell down so many times to get calls it sickened me.  The NBA needs to adopt the NHLs stance on flopping and award a tecnical shot for flops.  That would make this game more interesting and physical.

The late offensive foul call charged to Reef was:
First - a no call in regular time.  There was NO foul, just acting.
Second - a definite no call with two minutes left.

You let guys bang.  It was pretty awful.

Play.

I had videotaped the game and watched it last night after work. What I didnt understand was why in the last minutes of the game on 2 occasions Diaw posted up on the lower left block knowing he didn't want the ball. Reef for some reason was on the right side, he had to come around over to the left side which took alot of time off the clock and the second time it ended up in a busted play. I want to know why this happen? All game long JT was feeding Reef on the left side of the block but then in the last minutes of the game they don't look for Reef or Reef was directed to post up on the other side. To me this cost us the game. Did anyone else notice this?

Blunt,

They did that to get Reef open.

Reef was getting fronted by Harrington pretty hard.  They were letting Harrington get away with mass-murder and the moment Reef really established himself, they call an offensive foul.  Reef was at 5 fouls, if I remember correctly (either that or we were at the limit anyhow).

So, we were trying to run low screens for Reef to get through and in front of Harrington.

Play.
