Whatever is going it, the ball is in the NBA Board of Governor's court right now.

The hold up is on the NBA's part.  The sale has been agreed upon and finalized from all I've heard.  The NBA simply has to approve it.

That's the problem -- Nothing is going on.

If the N.B.A. is trying to kill the Hawks,
they are doing a good job of it.

I tend to remember that took about 3 months (celts ownership change).

Excuses I've read sofar are that

-it's taking longer then expected since we'll have to get approval from the NBA and the NFL

-dealing with a big corporation like aol brings along alot of red tape

-the oh so famous line of we're practically ready there's just a few minor details we have to work out

-and the last one was that the NBA was investigating and not satisfied with how the "cash" responsibility was divided in the ownership group of Belkin+atl spirit and they were working out the kinks.

sigh

I really thought we turned a corner when McDavid was suddenly out of the picture and the Belkin + ATL group came in place but man this is taking forever.

I can see no reason why the NBA would want to ruin this franchise, would be bad for business all around I presume.
