they trade miles for mcinnis and boumtje boumjte...
what happened to miles? i mean isn't he supposed to be the next garnett? now he's being traded for decent point(who will be backing up) and fodder with potential.
at first i say that portland got the best deal but i'm not sure if miles will pan out or not...his being-young reason for not blowing up yet is running out along with the head tap.. he needs to show something very very soon and get serious about his game....
what would you have traded from the hawks for miles or wouldn't you have done it?
whats your opinion on the cleveland trade?

I don't think we have anything that they would have wanted. Jt's not the the pure pg they were looking for...and without one, Miles isn't what we need either.

Actually, it's fair. Miles is not the player that a lot of people make him out to be. He has no jumpshot and he's only good for running up and down the court. He's the new Eddie Robinson of Basketball. McInnis might be a good fit in Cleveland but they got him because this is his last season. So it's caproom.

more than miles, we probably could have used mcinnis. he would have given use a tall point guard to take pressure off of JT. the real questions is what would portland have wanted from us? CC and DD?

The problem with Miles is that he is young and unwilling to do the things it takes to perform at the starter level. He thinks he is a superstar and is resting on the hype he came into the league with. Paul Silas just got tired of his lazy butt and shipped him out.
McGinnis has been dealt once again. He could not beat out Sroudamire (mini-mouse) in Portland.
Neither of these players are what we need in Atlanta for the rebuilding process that lies ahead.

I think Cleveland got a steal. McGinnis had been playing well, but Andersens return made him expendable. Add in a little whining and he got shipped.
But I don't think Portland is done. I think they are preparing to ship[ some of their other bench players out via other trades, and Miles is their replacement(maybe for Wallace).
