Reef really should be a coaches selection for the All-Star team this year. I mean, who would you put ahead of him? from the East?

I think Odom gets the nod.

or the ever popular Kmart.

East team will probably be:

LJames, AI, VC, Oneal, Wallace...
Tmac, Odom, BDavis, Kidd, Pierce, Kmart, Redd.

But you're right, Reef is the one who should be picked before Odom or Kmart.

So you think Odom gets the nod for the same reason that Reef did the his first season in ATL? The similarities/argument could be made on that (getting out of a forward-heavy west to play for a non-playoff team in the weaker east)...

other than that, Reef's got Odom.

As for KMart...that team's really struggled this year...and it would have been a nice time for KMart to step up, take some initiative, leadership...similar to what cause Kidd's eyes to wander *gasp* back West to Duncan...but he didn't. He's done little to seperate himself from Kidd's sidekick, along with Jefferson, (if anything, Kittles and Collins earn there's more) at a time when he really could have stepped up (Kidd was down)...

again, the numbers are in Reef's favor, and you can't site leadership. I'd take Odom over him, at least he appears to have earned the "encouragment" bonus.

BUT...

Odom and Kmart play in better media Outlets.  It's assumed that Odom does more.  But he really doesn't.  It's assumed that Kmart is a better running PF... BUt Reef deserves it more. It will be interesting.

see, that's just it though. Miami isn't a media outlet...and NJ isn't, never has been. Despite their back to back finals appearences, their attendance is barely above ours...JKidd is the only reason they're on the map. If he were gone, and Parker there, no one would write aobut them besides the occassional lamentation on "look how far they've fallen" story, and "Kidd #5, Where Are You?"
