I love all the hype, and we may have something here. At least I hope... But he's 19. The keys to this car is with Teague for this year at least...

I agree, it's the middle of July. I want to see what this team will finally look like when the roster is said and done.

I'll speak for him. He brought in a young, very capable, PF in Milsap. For only two years and at a steal of a deal. We're no tied up in 5 year deal, only two, at a very reasonable price. Somehow, he convinced Korver to come back....which I know Kyle entertained deals from contenders, but likes "where Danny is heading". The PG issue has yet to resolve itself, but I bet when it's all said and done, we'll agree with the decision. He's building a hard working, blue collar team. All without blowing our cap-space. It's hard to argue what DF has done in only a year and a half.

I wish him the best. He gave us almost a decade of good years, and he was fun to watch. I have no hatred towards Smoove. I'll be anxious to see how he fits with the Pistons. He's going to play small forward.... and if he's supposed to be the leader and francise player, Dumars might have made another questionable move. Detroit has some young pieces, but they're still bad. Smoove is going to have the mindset that this is his team, and for what he got paid, I don't blame him. But, that's going to be the problem. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see him being a vocal leader, and a leader on the floor, to make the Pistons relevant again. I'm glad I have league pass, because I will tune in to a few Pistons games this year just to watch him and how he handles the change and leadership....not to root against him, but I've watched the dude every game for the last 9 years....

It's a formality....He'll be on the roster. I'm kinda excited he's on staff. New blood, young, his experience is intriguing....

I'd like to keep Teague and see him run the show without Smoove. Our offense is going to have a complete different identity under new coaching and no Smoove. Smoove wasn't an offense killer, but with the changes, I wanna keep Teague.

I don't understand. If we signed Bynum, is Milsap playing the three??? Makes no sense, unless one of them comes off the bench. While a healthy Bynum, with Horf, and Milsap starting.... Well, hell, I dunno, could Horf move to a three? He's been on record as he wants to start shooting three's? He has the mid-range jumper. He's prollly athletic enough to do a decent job guarding three's....as much as Korver can at least.

Kevin Martin got 30 million,,, over four years. It may have been mentioned earlier in this thread, but I skipped. I played with him, we're from small town Ohio. I'm happy for K-Mart, but we got a better deal! Glad we got Korver back....!

When I heard, and read the news, I was indifferent. Maybe even sad, in a way. Though we didn't do anything significant with Joe, he changed everything for us. 5 time-all star... whatever. You guys know. It was a great move for us moving forward, but when I heard it, I wasn't throwing my hands in the air. I knew we're starting over. Marvin, don't feel sorry for him cause he's set for life, but way too high expectations, and didn't pan out. It happens. Another good move by DF.

I love all the speculation and rumors. I love our Gm hire last year, and our new head coach. But all this speculation of teaming the best PG in the league, with, arguably, the best center in the league, with an All-star PF is too much. It's too good to be true. I feel like there's just going to be this huge let-down...c'mon we're Hawks fans.
