You're NOT factoring intangible qualities like leadership, basketball IQ, etc. You need a voice in the huddle, in the locker room, someone for the young guys to look up to. We went from 37 wins and the playoffs to 47 playoffs/second round with the same team plus Mike Bibby. Things changed the second he got here!! It blows my mind that people think a rookie and Jamal Crawford can match what Bibby brings to this team!

I'm guessing Marvin may play more than 18 minutes a game if we bring him back. Not a fan of Marv?

Bringing Shelden back is good in theory, but I doubt either party would like to be reunited. Once again, that ship has sailed.

It's a nice problem to have, going that deep. I hope Woody gets some advice on how to delegate the minutes. I've always thought Woody struggles in that area. Perhaps it's because our bench has been so thin in the past, and he's been forced to run guys into the ground. Mo Evans getting only 8/9 minutes a game would be a sore spot for him. I'm sure he would let his thoughts be known, he speaks his mind.

Lo is still only 33. In 2000, with the Hawks he averaged 12 points and almost 8 boards a game in 28 minutes per. Although, we weren't very good...25 W's.

However, I have seen a lot of the players that are currently in the NBA play, that we are rumored to be looking at. It seems like the ideal situation for us is to re-sign Za, and get his butt over here.

True. I agree. Duncan and Parker are pretty good. Add a healthy Ginobili, and you're contending. I do think Jefferson will add some talent and more depth.

Not worried about Sheed going to Boston. I don't think the Hawks missed out on a prize free agent either. If Sheed thinks Boston is the best place to win another ring, he chose wrong. The East has gotten so much better the last couple of years, and Boston is getting old, obviously. If Sheed had wanted a shot at another ring, he should have looked hard at San Antonio. They were interested. Adding Jefferson made them contenders in the West again, not that they weren't already.

Just be more work for you Dolfan, another thing to keep tabs on. I think you already do enough.

6 million per would be fair for his services. I'm a fan of brining him back, but if it takes 25 million to do so, that seems steep to me and may hinder what we could do in the future.
