  1. I can't comment on Jeff Teague yet because he hasn't played a second in the NBA. Rookies need to earn their time. I hope he's everything we all hope he is. Until then... I would rather have Bibby running this team. Flip Murray needs to learn how to pass the ball before he can become an effective PG. He's a two guard in a PG's body. He's out there to score because we have no offense and he can create for himself. I hardly think with Flip running the show compared to Bibby we become the Phoenix Suns. Jamal Crawford is a two guard. Period. He's not the passer of Mike Bibby, a leader like Mike Bibby, or near the basketball IQ of Mike Bibby. He's a scorer. That's it. We keep talking about taking a step back if we don't sign another big with/and/or Zaza. We take two giant steps back if we don't bring our PG back.
  2. How would a Flip-Teague-Crawford led offense be different from a Bibby led offense?
  3. Let me guess....because Teague won't be playing. Do you honestly believe we would be better off starting a rookie from day one than a veteran guy that has been here, and taken us to the playoffs two years in a row?
  4. There's no structure on the offensive end. No structure = street ball. He can preach to Josh all he wants, but until Smoove understands where to be and what he should be doing....bad shots, standing around is going to happen.
  5. Oh boy, this should be interesting.... 1. He's an awful game manager as far as minutes for the players. 2. He hasn't shown the ability to develop young players. 3. He has no offensive gameplan or any kind of offensive system. 4. No control over the game, or what his players choose to do on the court (which is why Bibby is so important - another thread) I don't hate Woodson. Like you stated, we have improved every year with him. That is a tad misleading considering where we were when he started, but it's a fact. He's earned another year with this team....whether it's right or wrong, we shall see.
  6. I would like to hear that interview.
  7. Again, that's coaching. If Smoove is standing around, the coaches are as much to blame as he is. But, I agree, Smoove could take the initiative himself to be more active. It would be tough to ask Smoove to be as active as Chillz. When he was in the NBA, there's not a player that moved along the baseline better than Chillz....getting easy lay-ups and put backs.
  8. How do you know Toine' is in good shape? Even so, I don't think we need another PF shooting three's.
  9. Big baby insteady of re-signing Za?
  10. We already have an undersized C/PF...whatever. I'd prefer to spend our money on a true Center, if we can find one.
  11. That may be true, but Shaq still doesn't need to be saying the things he's saying. Maybe it's the whole "Superman" thing and Orlando. Dwight has replaced his role there, maybe a little jealousy?? Howard is still a kid. In fact, I don't think he takes the game as seriously as he should. I think he laughs/complains too much on the court instead of just dominating more than he already does. Shaq needs to take it easy on him, like I said, it's not like D. Howard is egging him on or firing back at him.
  12. Thanks. I question whether we need a "swingman" though. Maybe that's assuming we don't re-sign Marvin.
  13. I bet we'll see that line-up some. Woody would play Bibs, Flip and Joe and the end of some games for offensive reasons last year, I can see Crawford jumping in there in late games situations instead of Flip.
  14. I watched it. Not a big tennis guy, but I was pulling for Roddick. He hasn't had much luck vs. Federer, but he played his butt off. I could be mistaken, but I think Roddick only was broke one time the entire match, maybe none! Good stuff. Kudos to Federer for becoming the greatest of all time....Grand Slams anyway.
  15. Dwight Howard hasn't done anything to warrant Shaq making those comments. I think it shows more intimidation of Dwight Howard than anything else. It's the media stirring the pot.
  16. Good point. Bibby was quoted as saying "If you don't want me to pass him the ball, don't put him there! He's wide F#cking open!" Woodson then laughed and turned and walked away. Those kind of remarks have to get Woody to relaize he needs to make adjustments in the offense.
  17. Even if his liabilities on defense offset his offense, which I don't agree with at all, what offset's his experience and leadership??
  18. Handled well Dolfan. Thank you.
  19. I don't think people take into consideration the impact Bibby has on these young guys outside of the white lines. People see that he has aged, and lost a step or two, and they want him out. I suppose every player on a team needs to be 23,24 and veterans mean nothing. You need leaders in the huddle, on the court, mentors for the young guys. Players look up to Bibby. Woodson needs him to take control on the court. After all that, he can still produce! He can still play!
  20. You're obviously not one, so who should start for the Hawks at PG next year over Bibby? Why?
  21. Disregard that question. I should have read the rest of the thread. My question has been answered.
  22. He is. I agree. Who was more productive and consistent than Mike Bibby during the playoffs?
