Bud might leave after a few years if he isn’t happy with how it’s going, but I don’t see him leaving after this year. Why suffer through this season when you will have more talent to develop in a few months? Please don’t give me the 5 year thing..
This draft is the most important of this rebuild and he will have a strong say of who we pick. That said, if he got offered an attractive job I could see him leaving and wouldn’t blame him. This isn’t that job.

Season? He might be done for the rest of his career. And not because of injury. What a disappointment he's been this year.
Agreed, he was at the top of my small list of things to look forward to this year.

This is unfortunate, but I really don’t want to move on from Dennis for any PG in this draft.

I’ve been trying to get my wife to get the tanking thing. Don’t get mad when we score and play well, but hope it’s a close loss. She’s a trooper for watching but she is still looking for a blowout loss lol. Love seeing Prince playing so well. It’s still hard wanting the L but we need that top 3 pick.

How about getting the ball to him when he's in the post. The last thing I want to see him doing, is jacking up 2 - 4 threes a game, but can't even get 1 post touch in a game. That's completely going away from his offensive strength. 1 three a game is fine. Bud shouldn't try to turn him into Mike Muscala.
I don’t envision him shooting 4 threes a game, but if he is efficient with his jumpers it expands his game. You need spacing and the ability to make shots provides that. I don’t think Bud wants him to be Muscala..

( sigh ) . . . OK Dwight. We get it man. We get it.
He's all hyped up tonight.
I’m glad he is when he plays us. His potential playoff team is in the same spot we are. If he wasn’t out at 2AM speeding around the night before game 6 he might not have been treated how he was. Still seems like he blames us, which is typical Dwight.

I like Randle. My potential reservation is about how he and Collins would fit since I see a lot of the same strengths (scoring near the basket, athletic, rebounding) and weaknesses (basket protection, length, range).
I have also said several times I think we jump into FA in earnest after next year but will just have to wait and see.
I agree with all of this, but I do think we will see Collins improve his range. I like his shooting form and think he will be able to be more productive with threes and elbow jumpers.

I don’t know if this has been going on for awhile, but it’s weird not hearing Ryan Cameron. This PA guy seems so uninterested in the game lol. Give me those seats and I’ll do it for free.

Porter Jr. is playing today against UGA, FYI.

Even with the tank going on I still don’t watch much college basketball. As a GT and KSU (Kennesaw) fan, my interest is usually gone pretty quickly. I’m excited for this tournament and the ongoing conference tournaments though. I think you learn a lot about how good these guys are when they are playing one game playoffs. I’m watching Oklahoma now and Young seems to be getting a few assists, but he took a horrendous three and threw an ill-advised lob.

It sucks when we can’t keep our odds for the top pick up, but at least it was Prince hitting the shot instead of a Sura type.

I witnessed Moose crash the offensive glass for a two-hand put back dunk and still don’t believe it.
Nique mentioned Plumlee “living up to his nickname” and failed to mention what it actually is to the thousands of fans out there who have no damn clue.
I don’t know how Moose did that. The fact that somebody, I guess it must be Nique because who else could it be, took the time of their day to give Plumlee a nickname is a great act of humanity.

I honestly thought he was Collins at first. Second thought was why does Collins look so short.

If we hold on and win this I know there will be the narrative about “why win” that we get after each win, but you’d think Indy is the one taking watching this one so far. Great effort by the Hawks too, they are taking advantage of Indy not coming to play.

Luckily this happened when they are in the playoff hunt. It also helps he will be coming back too. The team has had enough success this year to know that they can win, and there aren’t too many games left so you can have guys step up and play above their heads for 10-15 games. They also know that he will be back, so you play hard to just get to the playoffs. I think they will finish around 6/7 when it’s all said and done.

It’s so frustrating to have all of these teams so close, it makes it hard to enjoy occasional wins. I wish they’d do something crazy and have a single elemination or best of three tournament to decide who gets the top pick.

@benhillboy touched on it, I think Bud came in with a great staff. I liked Ferry, and there was Quinn and Atkinson. I really can’t say much about our current assistants but I don’t see their names associated with any head coaching jobs.

The Cavs had crazy 'luck' and a blatant tank job to build up their assets to attract LeBron back. Flipped a top pick for Love, hit on Irving and added depth and trade assets with the other picks.
Going off memory, I feel like they were about the 7th worst team when they got Wiggins. I remember thinking they were a team that could sneak into the 8th seed in the East at some point that year.

Please don't speak this into existence. Georgia sports fans have had enough disappointment over the past few years. If the Cavs get the 1st pick(again) and the Hawks end up getting the worst possible pick they could get, I'm taking a break from sports.
I hate to be somebody that believes that this is rigged, but Cleveland got LeBron and then got enough top picks to move those players when he was ready to return. They missed on guys like Bennet, but they had the pick. It just seems weird..

Philly is the envy of the league?
OK. A team that is going to hover around a 0.500 winning percentage 5 years into their rebuild is the envy of the league. Got you.
Philly has had a weird rebuild because all of their top picks seem to miss their first year.

I been put Stan on a Randy Whitman watch. He still there?
I like to give any NBA coach who made the finals a pass, but I think his time in Detroit will be over soon if this Griffin thing doesn’t work out. They’ve been talented on paper..it just never works out.

Thank you Prince for making sure we didn’t have a wild comeback or anything in this one.

He was really good at times for us during our big season. I think he’s motivated and healthy after being out of the league for a bit.
