I hate this start time. Odds are very good I end up missing most of this game as I will be on the road Sunday. That worked out well last year but it isn't fun for me.

Maybe this is similar to 2011 in that despite an odd season, the Hawks can win as a lower seed and have a fun-ish second round series at minimum.

I feel you about the start time. I have tickets to the Braves game. Hopefully there is good wifi or a place where I can see the game there.

Incredible how many Hawks Fans are hating on Dennis. But if you don't understand that you have to run picknrolls up to vomiting with him as your primary ballhandler I don't know what to respond. Bud has to make adjustments. Trade Dennis or build your offense on Schröder picknrolls (if Howard refuses to be the rollman replace him)

I love Dennis, and while he isn't the only problem, I think he does a poor job with his shot selection. He's one of our best scorers but I feel that sometimes he kills the ball movement.

Our offense is at its best when we have solid ball movement and we don't get that from (as our PG) consistently. He will bring the ball up and look for his shot too much. Learning when we need him to look for his shot and when he shouldn't is something that we need to happen. He's young and I think all of this is part of the learning process he is going through in his first season being our starting PG.

Moose really forcing me to change my overall attitude towards him today. Wow Bucknell.

I've always liked Moose, his biggest issue was with coach Bud. Bud played him too much and put him in situations that didn't really utilize his strengths. He should never be your first big off the bench but he certainly can be a solid contributor.

It was the same way in the seventies and everything in-between then and now. Some things just never change. Zaza tried mightily to abort that, hehe.

Yeah I know, goes for all Atlanta teams honestly. A lot of people from the north wind up living down in Atlanta. At least we had some excitement last year and probably had 3/4 of the arena filled with Hawks fans when we played them. If we were playing them and game 1 was today, we would be lucky to have 50% Hawks fans lol.

  5. I think Baze could be a plus defender if he was defending guards. His effort is always there but he isn't a SF and shouldn't be guarding them. He seems like a guy that plays better when he is involved, so I could see why he could excel playing point for a few minutes a game. He's been one of the few players who talk about how important it is for us to move the ball to succeed and that mindset probably helps him when he's running the offense.

How come guys like Lebron never get hurt? I don't think Lebron has had a significant injury his entire career. I mean I guess I'm not surprised. I think steroids are alive and well in the NBA. Lebron and a few others seem to avoid it...Curry also, Curry had significant ankle issues and now they are gone...they didn't miraculously disappear.. what's up?

Seriously. Every year I'm thinking the east is one LeBron James injury away from being wide open. Still waiting on that injury though..

Great thread lw3! We are definitely a better equipped roster to match up with the Cavs that last year or the year before. Current line is Cavs -3...NBA2k says...

    GO HAWKS!!!!

I could have gone without seeing Millsap wearing that awful black shirt and red pant combo we used to wear on Sundays. We haven't done that since the road loss up in NY on a Sunday afternoon earlier this season I think?

Oh contraire mon frere! Some big regular season games too..

I remember Scott having some good regular season games too. First one that came to my mind was the game against Golden State when we were both fighting for the best record in the league (the good ol' days). Scott dropped 17 points in 17 minutes and scored 9 in the 4th quarter.
