Too much T. Parker.
Thanks for the videos. That's all I get to see. Maybe, when they televise home games? I hope.
Rested a lot of players VS the Spurs. Saving them for tonight?
FYI, the game against Cleveland will be on Fox Sports tonight.

I wish it was a little later! I'll be at the GT game at noon and the UGA folk have a game to watch at 330 I think.

Just read this quote from Horford:
"Looking at my career at this point, I'm going into my 10th year and want to be able to be a part of something special and win a championship. With the type of guys that we have here, we have that possibility, and that's something I wanted to be a part of."
I don't think the Celtics are even better than us, much less a true championship contender.
I mean it isn't like we just knocked them out of the playoffs or anything.

I saw this scrolling through Facebook tonight. Seems like a nice and cheap way to get into some games (I've often had luck moving down). Thought I'd pass it along..

(I'm a big slurer when I drink lol)
I'm sure somebody would think I'm trying to say the Hawks play at the aquarium.

How bout:
"The Collaboratorium" (we play team ball)
or
"Swipe Right Arena"
I like it but trying saying and explaining the first one if you are drinking for the game. I'm not really sure what would come out.

I think that this signals a trade is coming as well. However, only 50K is guaranteed and it could just be to add some competition for Muscala during training camp. I really wasn't impressed with what I saw during the summer league but he is a big that can shoot threes and you know we love those.

I haven't been able to start watching yet, just following the box score--how in the world did we manage to get 14 free throw attempts in the first quarter?

I bet many of the posters here are from Atlanta too--it is rare someone randomly picks the Hawks to be their team. This makes me happy in so many ways.
I wasn't a huge Dwight fan when he played for Orlando, mainly because of the historically bad playoff sweep. We eventually beat him with Jason Collins playing C but that sweep was ugly. I will never forget it.
Yada Yada Yada, he finally had a chance to come home, embrace his hometown team and try and attract the likes of CP3. Instead, he goes to Houston. I remember a Houston fan I met while living up north laugh that my Hawks couldn't even sign our own guy. I couldn't really disagree..
I've said many bad things about him over the years. All because he was afraid to play for his city--to play for our city. It seems like he has grow up a lot. It seems like he is happy to be back home. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and be one of his biggest supporters.
Don't let us down, Dwight. Welcome back home.
I also love Buds comments about being a positive impact in the community. The "true to Atlanta" thing is a little cheesy and overplayed at times, but I see Koonin and the organization trying to get guys who do more than play basketball every night. Joe was great but him being "true to Atlanta" was going to strip clubs. We need help building a brand and Dwight can help.

I liked what I saw from Prince. He's nowhere near the DMC we had during our 60 win season but I can see him being similar to first year DMC at some point next year. He can put the ball on the floor, nice jump shot, had a couple of shots that he just missed after he drove to the basket.
Bembry didn't play as well but I came away thinking his jump shot isn't as bad as some think it is. He hit a nice 3, had a couple of baskets taken away due to illegal screens. If he can rebound and pass like he did yesterday I think he will get some minutes this year.
Cordinier had a nice dunk at the very end and almost ran all the way down to block another one. He's very athletic.
I missed bits and pieces but it seemed we weren't hitting threes and had a lot of turnovers. Our assist total was probably 1/3 of what we had on Sunday.

So C-Viv has Al's phone nimber?
The only way I imagine C-Viv having a phone conversation with Al is either Al drunk dialing and getting the wrong Chris or somebody prank phone calling him pretending to be Al.

Looks like he is going to Toronto.

I can't stand this dude.

I wouldn't be so sure that Jack is going to be ready....ACL injury recovery is 6 to 12 months.
This to me puts confidence in Delaney.
Gotcha, thanks for correcting. Hopefully he is closer to 6 months than 12 months. If we can hope for somewhere in between the 6-12 month recovery time it puts us mid-October.
-
He had his surgery on January 13th. A quick google search said recovery time is 4-6 months after surgery, so we are looking at May-July that he should be recovered. Obviously you have to add on time to get back into basketball shape but hopefully he will be ready to go once training camp starts.

Somebody posted a link to his twitter account in the BU PG thread and it does appear to be true. If so, I'm really happy to have him back in Atlanta and hope he is healthy enough to contribute.
C-Viv just said on the radio a few days ago that he wasn't being considered because his injury was too severe....

Bembry led the team in assists and rebounds (tied with Costello) today.

Yall are nuts. I'd take a year of Westbrook with Howard and Millsap. We might avg a out for the first time ever. That and the glamour of this city would be enough to inspire him to stay.
Problem is we don't wind up having Millsap if we get Westbrook.

Regarding Sap being worried about the rumors, I remember all of the players potentially being shopped around before the trade deadline last year. He's been through it before and understands it's just a business. The Hawks want him here and he wants to be here, so it will all be good.

I thought the C word was going to be Center.

All I hear from Al is Celtic Pride
It reminds me of when Petrino left the Falcons to coach Arkansas. I'm surprised Al hasn't given us a thank you, enjoyed it, miss you guys type of post yet.

Jack, if healthy, is my first choice. I wouldn't mind Livingston or Sessions. Someone mentioned Mo Williams--weren't we on him when Bud/Ferry first arrived? Deron Williams did single handily beat us in the playoffs two years ago..he just can't remain healthy.

I didn't see all of the game but loved what I saw from Dwight and the rookies.
I heard on the radio pregame show today that they expect Jack to be ready for the season opener. Anyone else hear this?
