NBA players don't realize that Atlanta is second in terms of quality of city life only to cities like Chicago, LA, Washington, and maybe on par with Boston and Philly.  But those cities' media scrutinization are all twice as tough as Atlanta's, if not more.

I think ESPN's total lack of coverage of the city hurts it's perception of visibility for players.  No AJC writers who represent the city, no bloggers, nothing.  F$@kin Cleveland has not one but two beat writers who appear regularly on Sportscenter.  Cleveland.  Bomani Jones has strong ties to Atlanta but has no allegiance whatsoever to its  teams.

The players make so much money that they can't understand it. Those of us who know Atlanta understand it well because we see so many people from these big market cities wind up moving to...Atlanta.

The city has grown a lot, even since our playoff streak started and still continues to grow. With us becoming the eastern Hollywood I think somebody will eventually give us "Atlanta--hell why not."

Game was fixed. I was watching a movie, and apparently, im not the only one who could see it:

There is a TON of twitter comments about this game being fixed, a TON.

    http://www.mediaite.com/online/steph-currys-wife-and-just-about-everyone-else-thought-the-nba-rigged-last-nights-game/

On paper, game 6 of the NBA Finals Thursday night was one for the ages. Led by the heroics of LeBron James‘ 41 points and a dazzling performance from the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Golden State Warriors were denied a Championship for the second straight game.

And that’s just the problem. The game was almost too good, as if it was… rigged.

That was the heat-of-the-moment accusation late last night fromAyesha Curry, the wife of Warriors stud Steph Curry, moments after watching her husband get ejected in the closing minutes of play after receiving a technical foul. The quickly-deleted Tweet read:ayesha-curry-tweet

The fourth quarter of the Game 6 sputtered on in bizarre fashion, that’s to be sure. While the Cavs were mounting a strong effort en route to their 115-101 win, Curry — the most important piece of the Warriors incredible season — remarkably fouled out. As head coachSteve Kerr fired off after the loss, “He gets six fouls on him; three were absolutely ridiculous.”

I don't think the game was fixed. Cleveland did get the benefit of some calls but that's usually what happens when anyone outside of a few teams play them anyways. We have seen this for years but you only hear about it when GS loses. I really didn't think the officiating was that bad either. Cleveland just outplayed them.

Golden State is used to being the team Cleveland was last night. They always get the calls at home and probably get the same treatment on the road 95% of the time. This is the first time they got treated like a Hawks team and they are just freaking out.  Add in the fact their shots and offense isn't clicking as usual and you just see a frustrated team.

LeBeron was frustrated being down 3-1 and comes out and scores 82 points in two games. How will Golden State respond?

  3. Just replying to your five..

#5--if we lose to Miami in the first round how does everyone feel? I hate Boston, I'm glad we beat them. If we are swept in the 2nd or 3rd round we still have the same issue--how do you beat LeBron and his current crew? I'm glad it played out the way it did.

#2--I agree we didn't make great moves at the deadline but I get why we didn't do much. I do wish we had Mack to be our backup PG next year. I wonder what was on the table that we didn't do?

#1--Splitter was awful. The trade looked good at the time and I do think his injury was a big reason he was so bad. Still, we wasted a lot of money on a guy who looked weaker than Muscala when he did play. I wish we could have used our cap space in a trade for a wing instead.

Never heard if this guy, some interesting points.

All I could  think about was why the hell did we lay an egg against a depleted Washington Wizards teams. We could have  been the 3rd seed playing the Raptors. Except  Bud in his wisdom says 'We don't  care where we end up" #%!!#€#$!@. Smh

Thanks for posting the article. I still disagree with the 3rd seed argument because I'm not sure we would have advanced past the Heat. We were 1-3 against them.

Milsap and Horford are str8 garbage.   All-Stars? lmao...Time to break this thing up.  And Kyle Korver just needs to retire..Hard to watch him hobble around out there...

Come on man. I don't think most of us on here think we have enough talent to actually win a title this year. Millsap and Horf are all-stars. Korver is a very good player too.

It's up to our new owners to make us great. I think the Cavs have about 30 million more in payroll. That's a lot of talent..

Sefolosha starting is a completely horrible idea. I wanted to see Scott/Humphries at the 4 and Millsap move down to the 3.

Hopefully that is a lineup we see at some point during the game. We know Bud is more likely to start a guy who has played in all of our playoff games over Humphries.
