  1. It's very important to remember if we didn't have Ferry we wouldn't have Bud. I think that alone makes him a very good GM.

He still has work to do but I don't have any complaints about his work to this point. My only big disagreement was drafting Nogueira, but I can see why he did it. I just hope it doesn't become a completely wasted pick.

  2. We lost 10 games by 5 points or less without Horford. We lost 20 games by 10 points or less. So maybe we would have been 10 games better.

I knew we lost a lot of close games but didn't realize it was so many. I really think we would have easily won 10 more games with a healthy Horford. Also as JayBirdHawk said, it wasn't just him but we lost a lot of guys during our losing streaks.

I'll take a C based on our record alone, but I'd give them a B. Rookie coach with a lot of injuries, we still remained competitive. I know we shouldn't be in the playoffs but I would have been happy with this season even if we didn't make it. It's been a while since we have seen the type of good team basketball that we saw this year.

  3. As many have already said, I can't stand KG and PP. I'm really glad we got that win.

I wish I could pull for Joe to have some playoff success this year, but I'll never hope for anything good to happen to KG and PP. They are easily two of my least favorite people in all professional sports (and anything beyond sports too).

We looked good tonight..come playoff time are we going to see this team or the team that showed up against the Pistons? I guess we really have no way to know, but at this point I hope we keep on winning and play some good basketball before and during the playoffs.

  4. Winning enough games to not get a great draft pick, but possibly losing enough games to not make the playoffs.

Now, that is a change of culture that I can believe in! (sarc)

It is frustrating but a lot of us being in the playoffs has more to do with underperforming teams in the East.

We weren't built to get the first pick but after Horf went down we should be a lottery team. If the top 16 teams in the NBA made the playoffs we would be.

Unfortunately for us, we are stuck in the East. Some of the teams bellow us should be ahead of us.

  5. I think we can end the Lowry vs. Teague comparisons. Lowry showed up in the fourth and Teague disappeared. We desperately need a guy like DeRozan.

I was thinking the same thing. Seemed like Teague was trying his hardest to win that battle but kept coming up short. Teague missing that floater that would have put us up 5 (after Millsap hit the three) was a huge momentum killer.

  6. If he's not the #1 option now, I don't know who is. He's been given the opportunity to step up, especially with all these injuries, but has done nothing with it. He is no longer restricted like he was in the beginning of his career: he's free to make his 3.1 turnovers per game without worrying about being yanked out (sort of like what Schröder's dealing with now).I know there's a lot of factors that go into his performance this season, but at the end of the day he's the one who's holding himself back, not the coach.

Millsap is the number one option when he's playing. Teague will always defer to him.Teague hasn't done much when you look at the last couple of months, but he's played well the last week or so (no Sap). His performance this season has been all over the place. If we are really tanking, Millsap should continue to 'rest' and Teague will be our primary option. This is his time...Again, I'm just saying this could be a perfect storm for him. We will see what he does with it.
  7. Keeping it short..Teague COULD be a really good PG if he could develop some consistency. What is holding him back? I think it's all mental, it's his confidence.Winning isn't going to make him confident, he's been on winning teams his entire career. I think the best thing that can come out of this late season tank (minus a good draft pick) is making Teague confident. Let the guy be our #1 option and see what happens. I'm not saying he isn't great because he never had his opportunity to shine. I think it's silly that we have to baby him so much. But maybe these last couple months could be good for him?

  8. So many injuries...For those who wanted us to win this year, our big injuries have probably come in the 2 worst years possible (mainly Al). I still feel that we beat Boston with a healthy Al and face the 76ers in the second round. That should have been us in the ECF.Not sure where we would go this year, but a healthy team is probably guaranteed to make it into the second round. I loved the way the team was coming together too before Al got hurt so who knows what might have happened.Injuries have really ruined our season. Hopefully we can develop some younger guys and get the Pistons, Knicks or Cavs to pass us in the standings.

  9. Anyone else get the feeling we're trying to lose games (the players haven't given up, but Bud is sabotaging the outcomes of games, to an extent through his rotations).

It sure seems that way at times. Not having your all-star front court available helps the case too. I mean, we have a 35 year old who is 6'9 starting at center right now lol. I couldn't help but laugh when we had Martin and Carroll playing the 4/5 last night.

  10. Without a doubt. DeMarre has become one of my favorite players on the squad. It's hard to dislike a player that brings the amount of energy that he does every night.

I really didn't know what to expect when we signed him. I thought we were getting a guy that was going to play a role similar to what Mo Evans gave us his first two seasons, with a lot more defense. He's turned out to be much more than that. His offensive game has really been one of the bigger surprises of the season. I'd even consider keeping him as a starter if we upgraded the SG position. Whatever it is though, starter or reserve, he definitely has a place on this team.

  11. Who can pay him more and guarantee him minutes? Granger is not old enough to be the minimum ring chase guy; He still is fighting for a contract.

The report I read said he would decide between the Heat, Bulls, Clippers, Mavs and Spurs.I do think it would be wise for him to get minutes to show other teams he is still productive. It's up to him if he wants to play a lot or come off the bench and play in the playoffs.
