We let our egos get to the best of us. We weren't respecting their shots -- we were sagging off of them way too much. I don't care if it's Wade we're talking about here-- I don't care who you're guarding... if the player are making three after three after three, YOU DON'T SAG OFF OF THEM! That's just common f***ing sense. This team was not ready mentally and physically. We got manhandled out there. We made a run because of their mistakes and when Wade wasn't in the game. Woodson is to blame here because if you are the head coach and you can't get your team ready for Game 2 of an NBA playoff game at home, you're doing something wrong. Oh yeah, I forgot you've been doing this all year -- Iso Joes, Iso Bibbies galore!

When we got the momentum going, Joe Johnson and Flip Murray ruined it. Joe Johnson constantly drove into the hole with two people on him (even though he would end up rushing the layup/floater) while leaving Bibby wide open out in the perimeter. Flip Murray is so easy to read -- if he sees a slightly open lane, he will drive... the chances of him passing it out in that situation is about .0001%. Great decision to play him over Marvin down the stretch, Woodson.

The MVPs on Chicago's team were Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah IMO. Noah fought hard down low and went after the ball like a man possessed! Tyrus Thomas played pretty good, but he made quite a few mistakes on offense which is why he was benched for a good part of the fourth quarter.

I agree with Duff. Injuries are part of the game -- do you guys seriously think the Bulls were sad when they found out KG would be out for their series? I don't think so. However, it still goes without saying for me that I don't wish any sort of serious injury upon any of our opponents.

Because Josh Smith, with all due respect to the rest of the team, was on his game. Rotoworld was right when they said Josh Smith is one of the most elite players in the game when he puts more effort into it.

I liked the fair officiating by the referees. There were still a couple phantom calls called in the favor of Wade, but there were also many of calls that were let go in favor of the Hawks... we were definitely playing physical with Wade and banging bodies with him. I'm also very satisfied with how Woodson coached the game, the entire team's tenacity and passion on the court, and our free throw shooting. It was just the first game, but it still gives us a lot of momentum going into the next couple of games. We're going to have to step it up next game seeing that D. Wade definitely will. I see him just holding the ball the whole time instead of trying to find his teammates. Our gameplan (and everyone else's gameplan) worked against the Heat -- shut down Wade, and the rest of the team can't do s***.

I'd rather us be seen as the underdogs... it makes the game more exciting to watch for me, lol.

Yep, first legit test in my eyes is the first road game this series when Wade and the Heat battle to gain some momentum at home. We would be playing in a hostile environment and Woody will have to coach the team well enough to make sure they are cool and collected seeing that we haven't been the hottest team on the road this year.
