This scenario is what I have been fearing ever since I saw Horford play. I wish we could still somehow develop Josh Smith's perimeter offense and maybe give him a consistent mid-range jumpshot. Although I don't think it'd be as simple as Marvin adding a three pointer to his arsenal because Josh Smith's mechanics are light years behind Marvin's so it would be more than just changing his form to add a consistent mid-range shot. But if we could somehow move Josh Smith to the three, and Horford to the four, and then sign-and-trade Marvin for a solid 5, we would be set. exodus makes the best and most understandable point. I don't think I want Smith shooting more shots right now.

Uhh... keep it? Keith Brooking was one of the best Falcons players to ever put a jersey on. For you to be thinking about what you should do about Brooking's jersey is just stupid. And you call yourself a fan... Brooking does not deserve to be getting paid that much anymore. I would welcome him back only if he agrees to be paid the veteran minimum or as an assistant coach. Good luck to Brooking and his family for the future. What I would tell Brooking if I saw him today is thanks for the memories... because he gave us some solid years of hard-nose football. I'll miss seeing 56 on the field, but Dimitroff has the right set of mind. We need to move on.

Sometimes I wonder if Josh Smith's stupidity comes from Woodson's stupidity. If your player is constantly putting up terrible and uncalled for shots, shouldn't you be responsible to try and fix it? You are, after all, the head coach of the team...

I don't know. Vrabel is a good all-around football player. Solid defensive veteran, excellent special teams player, versatile player on offense (can be a gadget player like he was in New England as a blocking / receiving tight end). I think it was a steal. Cassel proved that he can be a starter in this league even when he had little to no help on the ground from his running backs. There's no reason why he can't be successful even if the Chiefs only have Bowe - who I believe would be an elite quarterback if he was just provided a better quarterback and this may be the QB he's been waiting for.

Chiefs acquired Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel in exchange for the 34th overall pick in the 2009 draft pick. If that really is the case (I heard reports earlier that Vrabel alone cost the Chiefs multiple draft picks), this was a huge steal by the Chiefs. Kudos to Scott Pioli for making a bold yet smart move.

Is my computer the only one experiencing the posts going over their border? For example... The right of the post box just over-expands. That happens in many of the posts here, and it just expands the forum out even more. It may be the new quotes styles that have been installed? And in Hawksquawk it's even worse. Only the home page looks right and the rest is just too big. I'm using Firefox btw.
