  1. Dolfan do you think you can extend the time table for being able to edit posts from a couple hours to possibly a day? I keep re-reading soem of my posts that I've made during the day today and I keep seeing not just typos but legit errors lol... just a suggestion. EDIT: And just to clarify, you don't think there's a way to kind of shrink the Hawksquawk skin to fit my monitor? I really really want that menu bar on the left side lol, but like I said it's all good if you can't do anything about it - I'm just making sure I got what you said. Thanks.

  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3917214 Wow. Tricked again...
  4. http://rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.asp...A&hl=110595 There goes all hope for Miller coming to Atlanta. Not like I really wanted him... but this isn't a bad trade for the Bulls, although I don't see Miller fitting what they're trying to do over there. Salmons is a very good bench player.
  5. http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/02/18/hayneswort...e-agent-market/ I think there's a very good chance that the Falcons will land him.
  6. "After seeming open to the possibility in their state of the franchise presser Monday night, the 49ers released a statement Tuesday saying they "are not interested in Michael Vick." The statement came via club spokesman after San Francisco apparently got nervous its Monday comments would be construed as tampering. Vick remains under contract with the Falcons, and the Niners forfeited a fifth-round pick in 2008 for tampering with Lance Briggs. Four teams have now publicly denied any interest in Vick: the Jets, Lions, Bucs, and 49ers. Feb. 17 - 11:01 pm et" http://rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.asp...L&hl=139409
  7. From Draft Countdown: Strengths: Excellent size...Long arms...Good athlete...Fantastic pass rusher and blitzer...Good strength...Tough...Physical...A powerful tackler...Looks comfortable in coverage...Does a nice job of taking on and shedding blockers...Decent range...Aggressive with a non-stop motor...Makes plays in pursuit...Solid instincts...Is intense and competitive...Offers some versatility...Productive...Has a lot of experience...A team leader. Weaknesses: Relatively average timed speed...Limited reps in coverage...Hips aren't real fluid...Tends to play too tall...Will struggle to turn and run in man...Does not use his hands well...Didn't make many plays on the boundaries...Possible conditioning issues...Minor durability concerns. Notes: Was a four-year starter in the ACC...Named 2nd Team All-ACC in 2008...Led the entire country in linebacker sacks as a senior...Played through a serious shoulder injury in 2006 that eventually required surgery...Started his final 49 games with the Cavs...Could project outside or inside...Best fit at the next level will likely come on the strongside in a 4-3 scheme or outside in a 3-4...Big, versatile 'backer who makes a ton of impact plays...Excellent pro prospect who could end up being a stud in the NFL like Ahmad Brooks was supposed to be.
  8. I think my monitor is well over 5 years old. It can go higher than this but if it's any higher, the monitor hurts my eyes for some reason (makes me dizzy) and I asked one of my tech expert friends and he said that usually happens with older monitors. But hey, that's fine. I've decided to stick with IE since I like the general interface of it more than Firefox. Hawksquawk will still be Hawksquawk to me, but I'll just have to use the Light versions.
  9. You basically answered my question. My monitor's not big enough. It's one of those old-time monitors before they came out with plasma and LCD, like a box shaped one. It's 1024 x 768 so that probably anwers why it's like that for me. It's a bummer, but thanks anyway. Do you still want a screenshot?
  10. Hey Dolfan, I just realized that the skin 'Hawksquawk' looks so much better on Firefox than it does on Internet Explorer. I think I'll actually stick with this. The menus on the left are very useful. Also, I don't know if you knew, but the forum under the layout 'Hawksquawk' is a bit 'too big' and it's stretched out in Internet Explorer. I don't know how to explain it, and I'll try to show you via screenshot tomorrow if you still don't get what I mean. When you view it in Internet Explorer, the layout Hawksquawk doesn't shrink to fit the monitor. I've tried all of the other skins and I've only found that Hawksquawk and Hawksquawk Classic need some "shrinking". I want to start using Hawksquawk but it looks weird in Internet Explorer, so I guess for the mean time I will use Mozilla.
  11. Nevermind, I found it. http://www.nba.com/schedules/national_tv_schedule/NBATV/
  12. I want to know whether I should prepare to stay up late to watch the game or not. On NBATV (I have DirectTV, NBATV's on channel 601), it is scheduled to televise "NBA Basketball" at 10:30PM. I'm very interested in watching this game because I rarely get to watch any Hawks game, so I'd be glad to hear if this game will be televised in CT. So if anyone can help me out that'd be great, I'd appreciate it. I can't find a TV listing of the channel anywhere, so yeah... thanks in advance.

  14. frosgrim - Bobby Cox said Chipper Jones might bat 4th in the lineup to allow Griffey to bat 3rd.
  15. Rotoworld... "The Seattle Times reports that Ken Griffey Jr. and the Braves have agreed to terms on a one-year contract "worth between $2 and $3 million in total compensation." Griffey once appeared headed back to the Mariners, but instead opts for the Braves despite a relatively modest payday. Playing in the South may have been the deciding factor for Griffey, who will take over as the Braves' starting left fielder while likely pushing Matt Diaz into a part-time role. While a shell of his former self, Griffey remains productive against right-handed pitching and can be hidden somewhat defensively in a corner spot. Feb. 17 - 1:15 pm et" http://www.rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines...B&hl=254558 I wish we were smart enough to get Abreu. Although it's a $2-3 million difference, Abreu only signed for $5 million! He is what this team would love to have - RBIs, stolen bases, OBP, etc. But I'll settle with Griffey if we couldn't get Abreu.
  16. Ow... I am a Braves fan though. :( I don't get any games up here in CT since TBS cut ties with the Braves so I never get to watch them here anymore - it was a sad day when I heard...
  17. Rotoworld: I think that Rotoworld comment was off. I think Charlie Morton had the fifth spot on the rotation to lose.
  18. Rotoworld... Still not sure how their GM wants that contract... but hey at least someone's interested.
  19. Some updates on the Falcons' free agents from Rotoworld: It's crucial we re-sign Foxworth. Although he is replaceable, it will be very hard to replace him. Von Hutchins will come back healthy, true, but Von Hutchins is quite the small CB (he's a tad bit taller than Brent Grimes), so our CBs will look a lot smaller without Foxworth. Not only does Foxworth have the ideal size for a starting CB in this league, he is also a seasoned veteran who brings good leadership for our young batch of DBs. I'm surprised to hear this. Milloy was almost preaching his desire to stay in Atlanta in the beginning and middle of the season. It's an understandable decision, but his leadership will be hard to replace. Losing him and Brooking on defense (in terms of leadership) will be a challenge to deal with.
  20. Kinda off-topic, but we have a link to the team's salaries above where it says "Links"... mouse over it and there's something that says "Atlanta Hawks Salaries". EDIT: Dolfan, the link is broken.
  21. Why did some people make it such a big deal that he rejected the Braves' offer tihs offseason? I was actually more surprised that we offered this fool a contract. It's pathetic... I will say good luck to him and his health because it's never a good thing when a player is injured, but with that said, I'm glad he will no longer have all of us in worries because he is no longer on the Braves' roster.

    Flip's Out

Yup, this is another opportunity for Acie to step up. I really hope he doesn't disappoint.
  23. Maybe JJ had an off night because he broke a sacred rule... eating before a game! http://gettyimages.com/detail/84809071/Nat...30%2c84685367|0 omg why is that link so long
