  1. I can only imagine how much that would hurt my eyes...
  2. The referees really did favor the Chargers today, but we should be complaining too much. It's understandable if we actually lost, but rejoice for the Victory! I applaud the defense. We made stops when we needed to make stops, and we made plays when we needed to make plays. That's just how you win ballgames, folks... and we held LT to second lowest yards rushing total of his career yesterday. The future looks bright for this team. One thing I've been worried about is whether or not we'd be able to resign Dominique Foxworth this offseason. It's not that I don't think our coaching staff will not want to sign him, it's whether or not he'll ask for too high of a price that Dimitroff will have nothing else to do but to reject him. If that did happen, I'd rather us look to the free agency to find a player that can bring equal or close value to what Foxworth can bring to the table. Because Foxworth has been playing lights out this year and he's been one of the many pleasant surprises this year.
  3. Oops, I didn't see this thread. I like the skin, it's a different look. But I'm still sticking with my IPB Classic Blue skin. :D
  4. I highly doubt anyone would give this much publicity to a game (NBA Live) far more inferior in terms of reality to another game (NBA 2k) without getting paid. In terms of gaming, you can argue that Live is better online, but other than that, the 2k basketball series blows EA's pathetic game out of the water. When Daryl Morey claims how he sets these video game players up in offensive sets and what not, I hope he also takes into effect how terrible EA has rated most of these players too...
  5. I'm thankful for my health, my family, and the education being provided for me. I'm thankful for the roof on top of my head too. I'm thankful for everything I have and don't have - quite frankly.
  6. If you don't believe Dimitroff sees that much value in the tight end position, I hope you remember that the Falcons reportedly offered a second round draft selection to Kansas City for Tony Gonzalez who ended up declining to go to Atlanta.
  7. I disagree. We shouldn't wait for another offseason to grab a tight end in the Draft because the tight ends are stacked this year (like I said). And our offense is doing well without a true tight end, but you can just think about how much it will improve when we can get a tight end who can block and catch. Ben Hartsock and Justin Peelle are not outstanding receivers. Matt Ryan will need a big red zone target other than Michael Jenkins, and don't say Brian Finneran is a liable receiver. I highly doubt we would even keep him after this season. He doesn't bring much else to the table other than one or two catches a game, and we can find a younger and most likely better receiver who would have much more upside this offseason. I firmly believe that the tight end position is the most undervalued need in terms of the Falcons' fanbase and whatnot. I don't think you realize how important a tight end is in terms of further developing a young quarterback, solidifying your red zone offense, and keeping the linebackers in check on running plays.
  8. Dolfan, I don't think you can blind the members since I think most of them just click 'View Votes' or whatever and they see who got voted for. Anyways, I would love to be moderator here, but like HawksJJHorford said, I think whoever becomes a moderator will do great, and I'll be happy to have any of the members listed above to be Hawksquawk's moderator. Good luck to the mods voted in!
  9. I believe the tight end position is one of the top needs that we need to address this offseason especially because the tight end position is so deep in the draft. Pettigrew and Gresham are complete tight ends and have a shot at falling to us in the second round. If not, there are some tight ends in the later rounds who can block as well as catch the ball. Hartsock and Peelle are solid tight ends, but they aren't reliable in the endzone. I believe our offense will be one of the best offenses in the league if we can find a tight end who can block as good as he can catch. Someone that comes to mind is Brandon Pettigrew from Miami. I also agree that a run stuffing nose tackle is the biggest need, then if we don't resign Michael Boley, outside linebacker will be close behind it. I'm going to make a mock draft for FalcFans.com soon, so I expect to address all those subjects soon. Some players I'm especially interested in getting are B.J. Raji (Boston College, NT, Projected 1st-2nd Rd.) and Aaron Curry (Wake Forest, OLB, Projected Top 15 Overall).
  10. One could argue that Matt Ryan is the best rookie QB in recent history, but Big Ben would still take the trophy for me. He had a much better and complete team than Matt Ryan did, but he still led his team to the Super Bowl and ultimately won the ball game. I know it's still early, but Matt Ryan's yet to lead his team to the playoffs and win the Super Bowl. Even if Big Ben's team was stacked, playing in the Super Bowl is a lot harder for a rookie than people would think.
  11. I won't take it personally if I'm not elected, all I care about is Hawksquawk's well-being to be quite honest. So you guys shouldn't take it so seriously either. And gsuteke, moderators in the IPB can't ban any members. I believe they are allowed to warn them (if we have a warning system implemented by the administrator). That's another thing too... since most of you guys are bringing points up, I'll bring up my own. When we first transferred here from the old forum system, who was the first one to aid most of you guys when you asked for help? If you must, check back in the Support Forums and look at the older topics. And we wouldn't of gotten such a good chatroom now if it weren't for me who brought up Lawstudent still being able to access the chatroom. I'm always on this forum. However, I'll be honest and say that I'm not always in the chatroom because like Dolfan, my game is always a couple minutes late so it's kind of hard to keep up with some of the members when you're watching a game that's almost five-ten minutes later than theirs.
  12. Well before Thanksgiving, I usually start making my Christmas list. And since I've decided that I wanted to get into the holiday spirit earlier, I decided to start this topic to help keep us excited and reminded of Christmas. My list isn't long at all. Basically, it's... -iPod Stereo System (I'm probably going to ask for the iHome IH9 which is around $80, and if anyone has that, would you care to tell me what you think of it?) -NFL Head Coach 09 -Subscription to NFL Draft Scout I was thinking of adding a fitted hat or something, but I'm already happy with the things I have now except a lot of times I wish I had a stereo system in my room (I only have headphones for my PC), and I'm having problems with my Blackberry alarm clock. And now that my digital clock broke in my room, I figured it'd be killing multiple birds at once if I just asked for an iPhone Stereo System Alarm Clock. :p And I figured I needed something to entertain me for the two weeks that I would have off, and since NFL Head Coach 09 had some good reviews on a site, I figured hey... can't hurt to ask for a relatively 'cheap' ($35) game.
  13. oops, I meant to say 'Bears' instead of Jets. mistake on my part there. Even so... 50 agaisnt the Jets is not something to be very proud about. You're not defending him? Kinda hard to tell what you're trying to get across then...
  14. "Matt Cassel completed 30-of-43 passes for 415 yards, three touchdowns and one interception and ran for an eight-yard touchdown in Week 12 against the Dolphins."
  15. Saw it today. I found it amusing also.
  16. I am on a friends iPhone it works fine. It just doesn't show a userlist. Other than that it's good. I've yet to test the chat on my blackberry because the Internet doesn't work on mine.
  17. My screen resolution is 1027x768. I have an old (but still working pretty well) monitor.
  18. Not to sound too picky or anything, but the user list on the right kind of cuts off a good three or four letters in the messages that get to that point. So it's kind of hard to read exactly what the other person says at times, but it's alright if you can't fix it.
  19. Hmm... how do I scroll up in the chat to see the past conversations?
