  1. I like the new avatar base, Dolfan. Did you put these up yourself? Whoever did it, thanks.

    Hotel 626

Am I the only one that thinks this is one of the scariest games online? I don't get the controls, but when I first started playing it I thought it wasn't gonna be anything, but I got startled a couple few times. http://www.hotel626.com/
  3. How the hell did you figure all this out...?
  4. The Thunder aren't as strong as the other road teams we've faced. This game should be easier, but I won't let my guard down. I still want 101% from these players... especially the big men on the bench with Smith out for that long!
  5. How are you watching it now? Is it on replay somewhere?
  6. Johnson has a legitimate shot at this. Right now is the perfect time to make a point... when one of our key players in Josh Smith will be out for around ten games. To me, Joe Johnson is still one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He's under-appreciated by fans outside of the fanbase. But the thing that I like about Joe Johnson is, regardless of how many minutes he's played that game, he brings his A game in crunch time. He's one of the most clutch players I've ever seen with my own eyes. He can take a game over in the fourth quarter. He's shown this in the Celtics series where in the three wins that we won, Joe Johnson scored the majority of the points in the fourth... keep in mind he was also getting double, even triple, teamed many of the times.

    Who starts?

Haha... no thanks. Horford will most likely play the 4, Zaza will play the 5.
  8. I'm pissed off... NBA.com is being so stupid, the broadcasters must of f***ed up or something. The NBA Broadband thing online isn't working, and none of the channels that's supposed to be free for a week on the TV are working either. It's stupid... now I can't even watch the Hawks. f***in bullshit.
  9. Hawks (3-1) @ Celtics (1-2) - L 98 - 114 PLAYER - Pts - Rebs - Asts - Stls - Blks Johnson 25 - 2 - 8 - 1 - 1 Bibby - 21 - 0 - 4 - 2 - 0 Smith - 18 - 8 - 5 - 2 - 1 Williams - 11 - 1 - 2 - 0 - 2 Evans - 8 - 2 - 0 - 0 - 0 Horford - 6 - 8 - 1 - 0 - 0 Murray - 5 - 0 - 3 - 0 - 1 Pachulia - 4 - 8 - 0 - 0 - 1 Law - 0 - 0 - 2 - 0 - 0 Jones - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 Claxton - DNP (Coach's Decision) West - DNP (Coach's Decision) Player of the Game: Gabe Pruitt (18 Pts, 2 Rebs, 12 Asts, 0 Blks, 2 Stls) TEAM - 1st - 2nd - 3rd - 4th Hawks - 22 - 30 - 30 - 16 Celtics - 29 - 19 - 26 - 40 I thought I had this game in the bag... but then as you can see, my defense just went down the drain in the fourth quarter, and I was making stupid turnovers and taking ill-advised shots. There was one play where it was so unrealistic, that it was funny. Rajon Rondo boxed out Pachulia and got the rebound not once, but twice in a row. Haha! That was hilarious. Next Game vs. Wizards (1-4)
  10. I switch around at random, but on defense when I'm playing someone like Dirk, Garnett, or any forward that might be able to just randomly dominate the game, I control Josh Smith. In crunch time, I go with Joe Johnson and post up most of the times, unless Josh Smith has a lane open. In that case, I just lead Smith to the basket, and then follow it up with a dunk.

  13. Hawks (1-0) @ Pistons (2-0) - W 86 - 81 STATS - Pts - Rebs - Asts - Stls - Blks Johnson - 19 - 2 - 6 - 2 - 0 Horford - 17 - 4 - 0 - 1 - 1 Murray - 15 - 1 - 2 - 1 - 1 Smith - 12 - 6 - 0 - 1 - 3 Evans - 9 - 0 - 2 - 0 - 0 Williams - 6 - 7 - 2 - 1 - 1 Pachulia - 6 - 5 - 0 - 0 - 1 Law - 2 - 0 - 1 - 0 - 0 Bibby - 0 - 1 - 9 - 0 - 0 Claxton - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 Jones - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 2 West - 0 - 1 - 0 - 0 - 0 Player of the Game: Joe Johnson I was winning by I think a dozen after the third quarter so I put out Speedy, Acie, West, Evans, and Jones. I know it's small, but my players were still exhausted from last game, and they have two games almost right after, so I'm trying to keep them fresh. So anyways, yeah, the Pistons almost came back when that happened. Flip Murray WAS 3-3 from the three point line, and JJ made 1 as well. So here's the box score... TEAM - 1st - 2nd - 3rd - 4th Hawks - 24 - 17 - 28 - 17 Pistons - 25 - 16 - 16 - 24 I think playing with Childress, who's shot I found very hard to master every time I played with him, gives me a bonus. Evans and Murray are much better scorers from the outside, so thanks to Sund for signing Evans and Murray in real life. :P Next Game @ Nets (2-1)
  14. Hawks (0-0) @ Mavericks (0-1) - W 105 - 98 PLAYER - Pts - Rebs - Asts - Stls - Blks Johnson - 33 - 5 - 3 - 1 - 1 Smith - 18 - 4 - 4 - 1 - 0 Evans - 13 - 0 - 2 - 1 - 0 Bibby - 12 - 3 - 8 - 2 - 1 Horford - 10 - 6 - 0 - 1 - 2 Williams - 9 - 2 - 0 - 0 - 0 Pachulia - 4 - 10 - 1 - 1 - 0 Law - 4 - 0 - 1 - 0 - 0 Murray - 2 - 2 - 5 - 1 - 0 Claxton - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 Jones - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 West - DNP (Coach's Decision) Player of the Game: Joe Johnson I came back from a deficit just like the real Hawks did against the 76ers tonight. Haha. Here's the box score... TEAM - 1st - 2nd - 3Rrd - 4th Mavericks - 28 - 24 - 28 - 18 Hawks - 17 - 17 - 42 - 29 As you can see, I made up for most of the points I let up in the third quarter. About 8 of the poitns in the fourth quarter were from free throws shot because Dallas was intentionally fouling me. I'm fairly happy with how I didn't let Dirk control the game. He scored 24 points, with 10 rebounds and 6 assists, along with 2 blocks though, but I guess you can't complain. I need to fix my rotation. Smith and Horford are getting too many minutes, and Flip Murray deserves more... Next Game @ Pistons (2-0)
  15. Okay, so the past two games have got me pumped up, so I'm making a new NBA 2k8 association topic, yes... NBA 2k8. I traded for Maurice Evans, and I signed Flip Murray. This is what my roster looks like: PGs: Bibby, Claxton, Law SGs: Johnson, Evans, Murray, West SFs: Williams PFs: Smith, Horford, Jones Cs: Pachulia I couldn't find Randolph Morris in the game, and Hunter is obviously not in the game either, so I'm going to have to give Solomon Jones some more minutes unlike in real life. I purposely ripped myself off to get Flip Murray and Maurice Evans. In the process of the trades/signings, I got rid of Josh Childress and Salim Stoudemire. To make the trade valid, I had to trade for Arroyo in Orlando, but I just ended up trading him and the 2008 NBA draft first roudn pick for the 2009 NBA first round draft pick so I wouldn't have to worry about unrealistically having a first round prospect on my roster next year. Also I'll probably draft a PF/C prospect in the second round, and that in effect would be my 'Othello Hunter' on the 2009 roster. Anyways... I'll see how many games I can get in.
  16. Haha, c'mon... you've gotta be kidding me. Lions will totally wreck the Florida Gators. Not only are the schemes much more complicated in an NFL offense, but so are the defenses. And NFL players are far more developed than college ones.
  17. If we were going to take Marvin out, I'd rather replace him with Maurice Evans. I think this team relies on its athleticism, and if you put in Pachulia as a starter, I don't really think we'll be that athletic. No doubt that Pachulia is one hell of a bench player who is tough/aggressive, and he's really looking good so far, but I think it's best for Pachulia to come off the bench. I do believe Marvin needs to earn his minutes though. Last night might have been his first game, and he might have just been getting the first game jitters, but man... what a disappointing performance. After all the hype I was hearing about Marvin is at 245, Marvin added a perimeter game... then I watch the game, and I see Marvin taking unnecessary fade away shots...
  18. I didn't say that you were calling him a 'clone' of Steve Smith. Obviously not because it would kind of be weird comparing the clones of a 5'9" receiver with a 6'3" receiver. I don't really see Crabtree being as quick as Steve Smith. Steve Smith is a completely unique receiver.
  19. Yep, I noticed Marvin was taking shots that weren't really 'his'... since when did Marvin shoot unnecessary floaters?
  20. Steve Smith? I don't see the comparison at all, sorry. I see Crabtree more as a Andre Johnson or an Anquan Boldin. He's got all the tools you look for in a WR.
  21. What a night for sports... Hawks come out with such a dramatic victory, and then you switch the channel to College Football, and you witness the number one team in the country get beat in yet another dramatic victory for Texas Tech. I think Crabtree has definitely secured himself a Top 10 pick with this game.
  22. Maurice Evans will play more minutes, but I think Flip will be close behind him. Looks like Woodson really likes how Flip plays.
