  1. I eat noobs in that forum especially in the off-topic part.
  2. Torres goes beyond the olympic requirements for taking blood or whatever. She allows them to take more blood than the requirement so that in the future when better steroid testing is developed, they can tell whether or not she cheated. I don't think she's fake at all.

    Madden 09

I'm not so sure that Madden has gotten that realistic yet.
  4. lol, I don't know if Kobe or Lebron should be mentioned with Tiger, Federer, Phelps, and crew just yet.
  5. Replying to a blog comment there... I don't think Mo is a better player starting. I think he's a much better player coming off the bench, and I highly doubt Marvin would just allow us to bench him like that. He might throw a tantrum here or there.
  6. If you're really looking for somewhere else to post, I wouldn't recommend to go there. If you're trying to find another forum like this, you wouldn't be able to find one. Not one forum comes close to the quality of Hawksquawk, and I'm not exaggerating or sucking up to anyone. You actually learn from the arguments on this forum, and no one is biased towards anyone else's opinion. Unlike Braves-Nation, every one agrees to what the admins and mods say. (If you're going to post at Braves-Nation, beware of BGarrett7 or whatever his name is. He used to be a quality writer, but ever since he got unbanned, he's been sucking up to every thing McCaroll says/does). The only other forums that I have bookmarked are Bodybuilding.com's and RealGM. Obviously none of them are as nice as this one, but still... lol. Oh yeah and I also go to DraftCountdown. Just to squeeze a plug into here, lol... Scott Wright relaunched what used to be called the 'NFL Draft Countdown' Wednesday afternoon, and he's come up with the site that's simply called the 'Draft Countdown' now. His early mock draft is already up as well. You can check out the site, the mock draft, the blog, the rankings, the forums, etc. in this link. (Sorry, Dolfan lol)
  7. I guess you're right. And I was mistaken, in vBulletin you can specify what you want your users to be able to delete. I guess that option isn't available with this forum software. Oh well. Thanks for the feedback nonetheless.

    Madden 09

I want to start a franchise topic for the Falcons, but I don't know how to exactly relay the stats and game breakdown, haha. It's good to hear that you like it though, Dolfan... a lot of people don't like Tom Hammond being on the game though. Also, did you buy the bundle that came with the NFL Head Coach 09 game?

    Madden 09

I couldn't take it, I ordered this game just now. :(
  10. I post at Braves-Nation. Staff is terrible, every one sucks up to McCaroll. There are some knowledgeable posts here and there, but other than that, the forum is garbage. It may be ranked as a top Braves forum, but there aren't too many Braves forums online anyways, so what's the point lol.
  11. Yes, yes, maybe (next to Tiger... oh and Speedy Claxton).
  12. http://www.hawksquawk.net/community/index....20&start=20 :)
  13. That's the problem I was speaking of. However, 1 or 2 minutes is a bit short. If you're going to allow us to delete posts for that amount of time, well then might as well leave that out cause it would kinda make it useless. I was thinking about maybe having the same amount of time to edit our posts in the previous forum software. Actually... now that I think about it, isn't it possible to allow users to delete replies and not topics they've created?
  14. Would it be a good idea to be able to delete posts that you've made in the past? Maybe delete posts that you've made within a certain amount of time. I realize that the negative side of this is if you're referring to what someone said in the past, they can just delete the post and pretend like they never said it. That's why I suggest that you be able to delete a post only within a certain amount of [short] time.
  15. Like every one else says, anyone else who thinks this forum is better off without Diesel is just fooling themselves. Even when he ridiculously gets on Marvin's chops, it's still entertaining to read. I'm a fan of exodus too, but then again, I'm a fan of pretty much every poster on this website. Diesel slightly edges every one else out though. Hawksquawk ROTY definitely goes to crimedog. Swish, you make some nice topics here and there, but crimedog is very knowledgeable and always brings up good points. Most improved member I just voted brotha2thanite. Besides his annoying red and bold font, he usually brings up good points as well. I don't know why I'm on that list though, since I don't know how I could already improve seeing that I'm the best poster on this site... (obviously kidding...) but really, I'm flattered. lol
  16. I've wanted to sign Mbenga onto this roster ever since the offseason started. I think he's a serviceable back up center. I certainly wouldn't mind signing him onto the training camp roster.
  17. Brent Grimes was on our roster even before Tom Dimitroff was the GM here. He came up from the practice squad last year due to the number of injuries. Apparently, Emmitt Thomas, assistant head coach this year and temporary head coach last year after Petrino's short notice departure, is very high on Grimes. We can definitely see why, lol. With Van Hutchens' very unfortunate season-ending injury, it looks like Grimes will be starting with Chevis Jackson playing the nickel corner.
  18. Yes, Brent Grimes did an excellent job against Jacksonville. I think he'll end up starting for us. The only thing I don't like about him is his height. He will easily get exploited because of the matchup problems that will happen between him and a taller receiver. Although I'm pretty impressed by how he handled himself against that tall receiver on JAX (forgot his name)... the man sure can jump.
  19. Don't judge a point guard mainly by his stats. I think Mo Williams runs an offense pretty well, and I don't know what you're talking about... 17 PPG is near Marvin Williams' PPG. Simply put, Mo Williams will definitely help that offense in Cleveland.
  20. Ugh, I hate to say this, but I don't like this signing at all. It's kind of like bringing Salim back.
  21. "For us to take it to another level"... Ehhh, I don't know if JJ can really do much more than what he's been doing the past year and a half. Just continue to work hard and stay healthy, I guess. I see it as more of a What can Woodson do that will bring this team to another level, not what can JJ do.
  22. Signing Woodson to an extension wasn't exactly what I wanted to see, especially with the number of coaches I thought would be suitable for this team (Flip Saunders, Avery Johnson, etc.). I'm not sure if the ASG knows (or cares - to simply put) about the fan base because if they did, they would of known that Woodson is hated by pretty much the entire fan population and wouldn't of resigned him. I guess you can consider that as a major blow... or a middle finger to the fan base? However, I definitely see Childress' departure from the team as a major blow mostly because of its "ripple effects". Not only did we lose one of the building blocks for our future and a candidate of the sixth man of the year award last year, we also showed the rest of the roster and the players in the NBA how bad we will treat our players. Childress clearly puts it out there that the owners of the ASG are bad business partners, and I think that will really hurt us in the future when it comes time to sign key free agents. They see this especially with how we treated Smith with his contract renewal.

I simmed the rest of the fourth quarter. I was getting so frustrated... it almost drove me to the point of insanity- I'm not exaggerating. These sliders are also see-saw, but worse than any of the other ones I've tried out. Joe Johnson, for some reason, can't even post up against Rondo and make a shot? Al Horford and Marvin Williams, for some reason, don't even dunk the ball when they're wide open? Not to mention the missed putbacks/layups. This game pisses me off. There's rarely a time where after I play this game, I feel satisfied about it. I'll probably end up putting this game down for a while. Maybe play some Madden 08. Yes, 2008. Or probably Front Office Football, whatever. Definitely not going to play this game for a while. Next Game vs. Wizards (1-4)
  24. I'm still finding the best/most realistic ones, but I think this is as close as it gets. I get outrebounded some times even when I have good position on some guys, but that's okay. Horford's streak is at 4 games now with double-doubles. Dunno why Jones didn't play. Next Game @ Celtics (3-0) Can't wait for this game. I always like facing undefeateds (especially if they're the Celtics) at their homecourt. Should be a challenge with these sliders...
