  1. Hehe, finally got rid of Diop the Crybaby. Trade with Hornets Hawks Get: C Hilton Armstrong 2009 2nd Round Draft Pick Hornets Get: C DeSagana Diop I tried signing Batista, but he was asking for too much money. This trade gave me more cap space too which never hurts to have more of. Armstrong is just like Jones, but he has more potential in the game, so I think I'll keep Jones as a bench warmer and I labeled Armstrong as a "prospect".

His morale is really bringing down the team, and Pachulia, even though his morale is pretty low, still produces while Diop doesn't do squat. He got outrebounded more than once today by Williams, and he doesn't even contest shots. I'm thinking of just releasing him and signing another big or maybe even giving Pachulia + Jones a chance. Next Game vs Hornets (9-7)
  3. Yeah, I'm on summer vacation. My internet has been a huge pain as well because it's been really slow lately, so I try to use the computer when every one else that's on the connection (we have four computers using this connection) is sleeping and has their computer turned off.

  7. I did some major roster rebuilding. I shook the core up a bit, but you'll see why. I made three trades. I mentioned the biggest one earlier in this thread somewhere. Trade #1 (Nets): Hawks Get: SF Richard Jefferson C DeSagana Diop 2008 1st Round Draft Pick 2009 1st Round Draft Pick Nets Get: PG Mike Bibby SF Marvin Williams Trade #2: Hawks Get: PG Mike Conley Grizzlies Get: SF Josh Childress 2009 1st Round Draft Pick (ATL) Trade #3: Hawks Get: PG/SG Rodney Stuckey Pistons Get: PG Acie Law I freed up A LOT of space with my trade, so hopefully I can resign Smith without suffering too big of a setback next season. I might also be able to resign Diop if I want him back or find another decent free agent in the offseason. Even though it's still early, I'm thinking championship after this trade. Lineups: Starters: Conley - Johnson - Jefferson - Smith - Horford Role Players: Stuckey (6th Man) - Diop - Claxton (Mentor) Bench Warmers: Stoudamire - Pachulia - Jones - West

Johnson, for some reason, hasn't been scoring as many points as I thought he would. I always get 20+ pts with him in other games, but in this association, I keep forgetting about him. Next Game vs Spurs (7-3)
  10. Damn, it's close. Does anyone have any explanations to why they chose whatever position they chose? I personally think he's a PF since he's not strong enough down low to go head to head with most of the centers in the league.
  11. Haven't been able to keep track of the Braves as much as I wanted to this year. I haven't even watched more than one game other than their first game against the Nationals (damn you TBS for not televising the Braves games!!!). But whatever happened to the rumor of us maybe wanting to trade for that pitcher? I forgot who he was. He's white though, that's all I remember seeing on the ESPN website rumors.
  12. Kinda random, but speaking of Al, does anyone know where I can find how many double doubles he had in the season and those kind of stats? I'm looking for those kind of stats along with Smith's double-doubles, triple-doubles if any, etc. I'm just interested in those kind of stats for some reason...

  17. Haha, I don't know if Josh Smith will play in Philly for his entire career even if he ever goes there. Horford will definitely make more than just two all-star games. I saw on NBA Access a list of players they thought would be a hall of famer for sure and Horford was on that list.

His knee won't heal, his contract is putting too much money in his pants that it's just way too heavy for him, and now even casual fans are mocking him! Leave him alone! Was this supposed to be like the Brittney freak out kid? You needed some crying faces in there if that were the case You're right. 19. Quote: I'm confused does anyone know how exactly how the hawks can sign both joshes back ? I asked cause I hear that we cant release claxton and I thought that was the only way we could get them back. Can anyone explain the process to me cause I know we dont have the money. We're not releasing Claxton. If we do, we'll have less chances of even signing the Joshes because we'll have to pay him straight up I believe. Smoov is naturally a power forward. He lacks the consistency in his jumpshot to be considered a 'natural' small forward. If we keep Smith (in which we probably will), we need to bring in another big man to also bring depth to our team. Our core of players should be the same next year hopefully with Childress back. You know, Bibby, JJ, Marv, Smoov, Horf. And Chillz coming off the bench. Most likely we will see more minutes from the other bench players such as Pachulia, Law, etc. Our main priorities should be resigning the Joshes and then bring some depth in the bench.

  22. So tempting... I would pull this trigger right away, but I'm trying to keep the first season as realistic as possible. I might offer this to the Nets again if the players stay solid and if they don't get injured in the game. Trade Offer between Hawks and Nets... Hawks Get: Richard Jefferson Marcus Williams DeSagana Diop Nets' 1st Round Pick Nets Get: Mike Bibby Marvin Williams Lineup: Claxton - Law/Williams (Will let them battle it out after season). Johnson - Stoudamire Jefferson - Childress Smith - Jones Horford - Diop - Pachulia It would of been oh so good in real life lol. Anyways, yeah... tough schedule since I'm now playing on Hall of Fame, and I've faced very tough teams so far. Right now, I'm playing the Celts, and for some reason, 2k Sports made Pruitt really good. Maybe he has a relative working for 2k Sports or something... who knows.

I don't know what's up with him. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, I think he's just on a slump. If he doesn't get off of it soon, I'll be trading him away right before the trade deadline. I might package him for Marvin for a decent to good small forward and a big man and start Claxton (I'm comfortable using him).
