  4. Well, you might want to make sure that you have no malware (spyware, trojans, etc.) and/or viruses before doing too much. There's a simple procedure to do this, and it's posted in this topic in a forum that I go to. Once you are sure that your computer is mostly clean, you might want to look into your internet. Maybe there have been more verizon wireless users in your neighborhood. I've heard that slows you down a bit. Or maybe you added another connection on your internet. You might also want to look into seeing if you have wireless telephones in your room because those have been known to disrupt the signal. If that is the case with the wireless phone, go to your internet settings and simple experiment with the channels until you have found the fastest one.
  5. Bynum might not come back from the injury 100%. Horford is a team player, and he's got no where to go but up.
  6. If only it were Hawks wallpapers that you made... Great wallpapers nonetheless. The Miami one was very creative. Good job.
  7. Quote: That is very cool! ... and it seems to work for every site I have tried except Hawksquawk. WTF? LOL. Maybe you switched domain names in the past, no?
  8. I hope you guys here at Hawksquawk mind if I make a topic here sort of as a journal as of how my season and association is going with the Atlanta Hawks in NBA 2k8. I play on Superstar mode, and I try to make the sub in and outs as realistic as in real life. A lot of teams trade a ridiculous amount of times, so I'm thinking of overriding all the trade offers for one year to try and keep all of the rosters as realistic as possible. Anyways, I'll post when I play my first game.
  9. Why do you care so much about other peoples' lives? Especially celebrities...
  10. Quote: Back on the old bravenet forums right? You don't happen to have a screenshot of the original site do you? I thought it would be kinda cool to have screenshots and have like a "history" of the site. http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
  11. Quote: Sorry I forgot to comment on this last night but was he worthless or what. He asked the same stupid ayss questions to every player. If they played like 2 minutes of point in college he asked them if they could be a point in the nba. He asked all of them " what does ' insert player name' do for ' insert team'. I dont know what he was paid for that last night but Joan Rivers could have done better. What were the questions that you would of asked 60+ rookies?

  13. Quote: But he'll make it up in the long run. He got better and matured and is more ready. Instead of sitting on the bench. He should be around for years. I disagree. I don't think Hibbert has the ability to make it up in the long run. I don't know if he really got better, but he sure did mature, but he was as ready as he was last year than he ever will be. I don't think Hibbert will ever be anything in the league other than a solid bench player. I think that's his potential right now. Personally, I don't even know what's so great about him that will make him worth the money that we would need to spend to get him now.
  14. Can someone please explain to me why Chicago would want Bibby when they're trying to get rid of their guards in Gordon and Hinrich? It seems like a lateral move IMO. Does the contract of Bibby really help the Bulls out that much?
  15. Quote: It's from thread rating. I haven't really looked into it much but at the bottom of every thread people can rate that thread and I think those ratings get averaged and applied to the thread starter. It's your member/poster rating. If you view someone's profile, there's something on top that says 'Rate this user', and you can click 1-5 stars. I think we should get rid of it, if possible, because no one even uses it except for underrating some posters and giving them undeserved stars.
  16. Quote: I agree. But are you willing to trade Marvin or chillz to make room for him? That's a good question. I'd certainly trade only one of them for Artest, but I'm a little iffy if we trade both. But I'll say yes. We might or might not let Chillz walk so we might as well get our value for him and trade him for Artest. It's a matter of finding a good, quality sixth man that will bring us down. After the trade, we'll have to bring in quality back ups that have a cheap price tag if possible.
  17. It's not like no one saw this coming. He was out of shape, and he really was going downhill. He simply didn't pass the Falcons Filter, we had to move on without him.
  18. Ron Artest would fit in our team IMO.
  19. I thought I read that article a couple weeks ago?
  20. Thanks for the opinions, every one. I'm probably going to do buy Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon brand new (I don't know why I do that with DVDs I know I will love), and then buy the rest used from Amazon (the following): Hero with Jet Li, Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee, Drunken Master with Jackie Chan, Snake in Eagle Shadow with Jackie Chan, and Kung Pow (comedy).
  21. Isn't there a hawk sitting in front of him already?
  22. It's simple for me. In order for me to like Woody, he'll have to simply get his bench involved more and try his best to keep the pressure off of Joe Johnson. Resting the guy for 5 more minutes than last year would be a lot of help IMO, and with Speedy back (crossing fingers, but most likely not for long) we should be able to stabilize our rotation a bit. It's important for him to coach Acie Law and slowly make this his team. That's all I ask really... as you can see, it's not that big of a list. You could see that Woody was capable of doing all of these in the playoffs. Although his offense is shaky, he did a good job of getting Solomon Jones and even Mario West into the mix in the playoffs. We need him to give the subs more chances this year. As cwell said, I'll believe it when I see it.
  23. Anyone ever been interested in these? I kind of want to look into them because I watched Snake in Eagles Shadow and Drunken Master with Jackie Chan.
